Imperial (2 Viewers)

ANI and an Unknown set . I have a thing for kilted troops. The WWI Stretcher Bearer Corp were made by Ani.

Just enjoy reviewing the photos posted K.V. and JR . Have had phone and computer problems for the past couple of days and a tree crashing on my roof at 3:30 this morning. So it's nice returning seeing the photos. K.V. you were right did like the photos of the 24th and Zulus. I'm assuming their members of the 24th.....The Lt.

If I had a problem with Imperial was their movable arms on some of their figures. Would always fall off the soldier during moments of play, causing worry in gently bending the offending appendage back, to get it to stay on again...Michael

Yes these early Imperial have movable arms. I don't know when they stopped making them like that .

Hi John,

Congratulations on your purchase! Those are some very fine looking figures. I just must add some Imperial figures to my collection!

Thanks for showing us this great set.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

I think I have about 20 sets of Imperial in various eras. If you do not have any I would try to find some soon.

Dave,

That is a very, very nice piece. Wish I had one! ;)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi Pat,

I am glad I was able to get this one when I did. The prices for them have really jumped on the secondary market and make it difficult if there are other nice sets floating about that might need a home in my Durbar display...

I have a soft spot of the New Zealand Line since I have been there and found the country to be the best thing since sliced bread! Truly a gem of a country with really nice folks. I hope to go back someday and if I do you can be assured I will be in that store.

Keep us posted on the elephant

All the best

Dave

Sorry, maybe I missed something. Has Imperial decided to continue making their beautiful figures? I hope so. They are my favorite maker of glossy soldiers. It was sad to hear they were closing shop - an end of an era.

You bet they have reopened. :D Vandilay posted a bunch a great information in this section uder the Imperials Back Thread. A lot of us are very excited about this news.

Thanks Dave, I was away last weekend and missed that thread entirely. This is really great news - Imperial is back. I was fortunate enough to have money on hand to buy a good number of sets back when they first stopped production and have the complete Napoleonic line. I hope there will be new sets created in the future to add on to their current catalog.

Huzza !!!!!!!!
