Imperial (2 Viewers)

great score Dave ,They all look like new and I dont
think any of those figures have been made for a while ?

Hi Vandilay,

You know I am not sure when they were last produced the only cateloge I have with Imperial in it is from 5 years ago and they weren't listed then. They are in great shape and I think I am the first to untie them. I am really excited about the King Edward in the 10th Hussars uniform I really am fond of the Hussars followed closely by the Lancers I guess its the great uniforms tied in with amazing Unit histories.

Here are some individual pictures up closer.

All the best

Dave

Hi Vandilay

The Omdurman set is great! Do you have a Churchill figure to go with them? I do love the Lancers they do a great job on the paint for those 17th ones too I have a set of those from pre-closure they are great!

All the best

I just found out that London Bridge is not more than 45 minutes from me  so I may check out these Imperials on my next trip to Pennsylvania in a couple of weeks, especially the Omdumaran set with Churchill.

Hi Brad,

Thats great I am sure you will love them the Imperial sets are really great looking! I think that their Sudan line is one of their best.

Let us know when you go and what you think.

All the best

Dave

Hello Dave,

Will do. I'm looking forward to it. We have offices near Philadelphia and I have to drive by Allentown, where Emaus is located, so it's right on the way. Really want to get that Churchill at the very least.

Hi Brad,

Thats a great figure. I dont have him yet but its on the short list!

Keep us posted on your adventures. By the way did you get those figures touched up? I especially like the Camel Corps ones and have been looking for those since i saw that photo of all of Louis's sets.

Have a good weekend

Dave

Hi Dave

The figure at the front with the pistol is Churchill [not a great photo]
I,ve had those for a while the camel corps figures are a new addition.
The lancers are great its a shame they dont make the other sets
involved in the charge [other than the hussars of course].

Be sure to check out the Napoleonic line if you do ,
They realy do look great in this very traditional
toy soldier style,The polish lancers with Poniatowski
is a realy nice looking group.

Here is a shot of the polish figures ,not as good as seing them first
hand of course .

Hello Dave,

I did get those figures touched up and posted them on the thread about Susan. Those Camel Corps are hard to find. It's one of those things I look for on ebay and haven't seen any although I've seen quite a bit of other ones.

Also as Vandilay suggested, I'm going to take a look at those Napoleonics. They look nice.

Slightly off topic, Shannon doens't collect much but she does collect some Imperial and we spent a bit of time last week talking about Imperial.

Brad you'd probably have to place an order to have that set made. London Bridge doesn't have a lot of Imperial in stock. When they get a shipment in from New Zealand, it sells out pretty fast. If you place an order, he'll send it to Imperial and when it comes in he'll hold it for you. Might take awhile. I think there's only like 4 people doing the painting.

JR,

Thanks for the info. Do they have samples, as it were, just to look at. At any rate, I'd like to stop by the Store and take a look. There are so few toy soldier stores anymore, it's just nice to stop by and look around.

Brad yes, he usually has some Imperial in the store. Especially individual mounted figures. Good prices too. You'd enjoy the store. It's only about 2-3 miles off I-78.

JR,

Fantastic. Is it off 309? Where do you live, by the way?

Brad if you're coming north on 309,like from Philly area, you have to merge on 78 West and get off at Lehigh St. exit. Stay on Lehigh St. for a few miles pass all of the auto dealerships and that becomes the main street in Emmaus. Then turn left at 3rd ST. and it's a block down on the right. Can't miss it.
I live just north of Allentown.
