With tensions mounting in the South China Sea as well this is a timely reminder of how quickly things can turn nasty.

Yes they do, "bully" that is and yes they think they are a super power...militarily that is. Now, economics is a different thing in my opinion, but when it comes to the military they are just amateurs. I have ranted ad nauseam about China's inept military that counts crossing guards as "soldiers" to inflate their army numbers. Anyway, this is going to be interesting to watch how these two countries sort this out. Pakistan will be on notice too, because the LAST thing they want is China in their disputed area with India. The whole Kashmir border thing is a mess. Will Pakistan side with China to drive out India in the disputed area or will they join India to ward off China...in the disputed area?

Interesting thing is we sent B1's and B2's for a joint Japanese exercise, which will take a few laps around the South China Sea and probably around the area where our Ally India happens to hanging out. Y'know just to let everyone know we can touch you from Louisiana. China does not have that kind of touch.
