Any chance you could give us another view of the Water cart please M? I recently picked up a casting of one ( with no oxen) and would like to see the cart a bit better - and maybe how the oxen fit to it????

Thx - jb

That backdrop you use really captures the feel of the place, certainly compliments your figures. Robin

That's nice and clear for the paint job - thanks Martyn. :salute:: Mine's a lot like it at the rear end - but looks like I have spaces to hook up four oxen. I'll be looking for some of these next time in Dorset. jb

Soon after arriving in India the 42nd (Highland) Regiment of Foot are in action at the Siege of Cawnpore in June 1857. This Regiment was to become well known as the Black Watch.

Following on from the terrible massacre of women and children at Cawnpore the order was given that all haste should be made to rescue any women and children in peril. This detachment from the 42nd Highlanders have successfully arrived at a distant Indian town before the mutineers and are in the process of getting these innocents to safety

The rescue column moves off with the survivors, many of the children think it is a great adventure to ride on an elephant
