An Abenaki scout and a French Canadian Marine pause while hunting small game for their dinner alongside a lake in the woods of northern New York.

"An Indian summer is a meteorological phenomenon that occurs in autumn, in the Northern Hemisphere. It is characterized by a period of sunny, warm weather, after the leaves have turned following an onset of frost, but before the first snowfall."

Oooooooooooooh....

I like that backdrop Randy...a very nice and colorful picture...

Really nice. I like the position of the two figures. If you place your cursor on the top hand of the French figure and move to the right horizontally, it looks like there is a buck between the trees. So it looks like the Indian is letting the Frenchman know.

Then again I have been doing double shifts so I could just be seeing things. :)

Hi Randy,

Where do you get your back grounds? Do you place them prior to shooting the set up or are you adding them in post?

Thanks,

Matthew

From the Web and the figures and scenics are shot in front of the 8 X 10 photo printouts.

Old Indian saying: "The buck stops here"

Very very nice Randy - reminds me of this time of year in northern Wisconsin along the shorelines of Lake Michigan/Green Bay/Sturgeon Bay. Of course after the past two days of HOWLING WINDS I would be surprised if there are any leaves left on the trees now.

Another photo gem an thanks for sharing it with us Randy.........The Lt.

Really nice. The figures have more diorama possibilities than I thought, especially the Indian figure.

You really do make some fantastic mini setups! Wonderful colours :)

Very nice Randy. I'd say we're going through our Indian summer right now. It's lovely.
