Interesting products (1 Viewer)

Thanks for sharing. This market is quite big in China, especially when they do key chains, rings, die cast for the armed forces on a contract basis.

They certainly are interesting and well detailed but the scales are all over the place and they are models of prototypes that would have very limited popularity outside of China.

That's what I was thinking too but there was a time when these would have been of great interest to collectors with the funds to purchase these.

I just got a price sheet and the plane at 1:24th scale (huge with over 600 parts) is something like $300 USD.

One could get a mahogany model for a third of that price but the detail look wonderful.

Anyways, they are nice looking to say the least and interesting subject matter.

$300 is reasonable for a 1/24 aircraft and I guess with increasing affluence in China there is a market for such things. But as Figarti found out their just isn't much interest in Chinese related military models outside of Asia.

The catalog pages were a little cryptic, too. For example, under "Die Cast Molds", are those molds that they offer for sale to other manufacturers, or are they advertising that they will make molds and produce die-cast items to order?

I thought the nuclear power plant kit was interesting.
