Ok, long story short, these came out of a collection that was somewhat high end on commissioned models and featured a number of Jean Abells. That said, these were done by a Russian artist, they are slightly on the large side - near 90mm vignettes. See photos and let me know if you can shed any light. My one source who is the owner of HM of Russia had never seen them and he has seen a ton! Let me know!

also pictured is one of the bottoms with the artist name both in English and Cyrillic (sp)

Hi Tom,
I have never seen any of these before. Sorry I can't help. They're probably kits from the early to mid '90's. Beyond that I don't know.
Good luck on your quest!

Joe,
I think you are right. They are substantial in nearly all metal except archways, etc are a heavy resin. Detail is fairly good, I would rate a 7 with an 8 on certain details especially for the age. Something tells me they probably were not cheap back then! Based on what else was in this collection, I am guessing on these were bought from Bill Harlowe who had them commissioned in Russia b/c if they didn't come from Thor or Russ at the time, there were not many other choices for Russian acquisitions!

I second the idea of kit figures. You might want to post the question at Planet Figure, or in our MFCA Facebook group, too. Lots of painters in both groups, and if these are or were commercially-available kits, someone in either place is sure to recognize them.

Prost!
