The irish also enjoy being contrary. How else can you explain the creation of a Hussar regiment in the 1920's ?

In WW2 Britain raised

22nd Dragoons, 23rd Hussars, 24th Lancers, 25th Dragoons, 26th Hussars, and 27th Lancers. All were disbanded in June 1948

Hopefully they were not mounted on horses but rather tanks ?

Here is a general shot showing all of Bernard’s figures awaiting the paintbrush. The Hussars have had the first coat of blue added to the tunics this is darker than the final colour which is more of a rich sapphire blue.

I have made the saddlecloths from Milliput, never used it before so I hope you can excuse the results Bernard . Once they have dried I will rub them down abit and then undercoat with the usual grey primer. Hopefully that should hide a mulitude of sins ;)

Yo Jeff, great job with the saddle clothes:cool:, they should look spot on, like the horses as well should look at great set when complete. Cheers mate.
Bernard.

After a rub and file down I sprayed a few light coats of grey primer. There are a few imperfections but these will be covered by a couple of coats of paint - says he hopefully! ;)

Hmmmm, don't recall seeing horses naturally coming in a green colour, so should be safe here. Unless they are punk horses.

Good job on the saddle cloths Jeff.

Thanks for feeding the ammo.

Bernard, I hope you and your upcoming collection of emerald green horses will be very happy together. :D

All joking aside - Bernard needs to decide what colour the horses will be:-

1) Green
2) Green
3) Green
4) Bay or Light Brown.

Nice progress, Jeff! And I nearly fell out of me chair, when I saw the horse and cart!

Those casting look pretty stable, to stand without help of a BASE, which we know would send Bernard round the bend ;) Just teasing, Trooper! You'll have yourself another nice set. Bernard, are you working on the box, in the meantime?

Prost!
