Her unterwasche is white and 1940s correct. The actress who plays the president's adviser character is also a handsome woman.There is a takeoff of the Bunker scene in Downfall that spawned so many Youtube parodies.
I wish that there were models or action figures available from the film.

Might be worth waiting just to watch the..rudie nudie film...actually the reviews are so bad it might be a good film.........TomB......Ps...just getting my posts up so I can make Cpl.

It might be that the reviews are for the political tone of the film plus a not very likable "hero." To the European producers the US is the world's only superpower, so the US of A gets the brunt of the satire. Maybe that's a left handed compliment to how totally awesome the US is. (You're welcome world.) :wink2:
No really a happy ending to the film.
The special effects, props and costume design are pretty good. Mostly CGI on green screen.
Rent it. You can't go too wrong.

It was worth seeing once, for the novelty if nothing else. It has some fun moments, some decent acting, some great special effects, especially given the budget. Unfortunately overall it is a bit of a mess, not serious, not really that funny and not nearly as clever as intended. I am afraid the reviews in this case had little to do with whatever politics it was attempting to convey. Still for the budget, it was an impressive production. Now if only the major studios could be that efficient, well for one thing John Carter might have made a profit.

Comic book shops sell nicknacks/figures of various pop culture/horror/sci fi...ect ect....but i have not walked into one of those for 20years!
Worth a look if you have one in your area.

I just heard about this before Christmas, when I saw the DVD in a store. I bought it, and I wasn't disappointed. It is a silly little film, and if you keep that in mind, you can enjoy it. It's classic bad sci-fi, has some good laughs, yes, some of the political satire is overdone, and the end doesn't live up to the rest of the film. Everyone turns in good performances, and Julie Dietze is a babe, it was that cover shot that first caught my eye.
