Trying to escape the slaughter, Isandlwana after the Camp fell

Rifles are used as clubs

"The guns must be saved"

Volley fire takes it's toll, but too little, too late

The wounded are all killed

Very few escape, Private Wassall 80th Regiment of Foot is one of the few, he wins the Victoria Cross for saving Private Westwood also of the 80th Regiment of Foot

Nearly all are lost and the guns aren't saved

Martyn...that is a great set up...maybe your best ever...utter chaos for the Brits...I have always been a sucker for the epic sized dioramas...they are a lot of work and hard to pull off...but you did it well...your mat looks spectacular with the bases of your figures...who made the mat please...

also the limber set looks spectacular in this scene!
