Guys....

Just got the DVD recently and my sides are still hurting a great series with superb characters a must buy for all you who like your WWII comedy.

About a Royal Artillery concert party its humour at its best from David Croft (Allo Allo and Dads Army fame) windsor davies, Don Estelle to name a few superb actors.

Anyone else like this just about to start series two (can't beleiev it took me so long to get it)

Yo Trooper, one of the best comedies you will see its superb^&grin. Windsor Davies made it a hit with me, his take off of a Sergeant Major could not be bettered, they have a sense of humour second to none.
Bernard.

One of the greats, don't make them like that any more.

:salute::

One to addto my wish list , Funny how all the old stuff is not PC like all the new stuff on tv :wink2:^&grin

I fully understand I am swimming against the tide here, but I would not put this in the same league as Dads Army, the character depth in DA was far superior and the acting skills of the cast much greater. Also I seemed to remember being pretty creeped out as a youth by the guy always wanting to put on make up! . Windsor Davies was good though.' Chin out shoulders back lovely boy!':salute::

Rob..

I can see where your coming from and Dads Army probably does pip it but, this was totally different humour and they pushed everything just a bit further with the tone. My sides are still sore
