Are you a fan of 007 flicks?

If so, what Bond films have you seen?

With regard to the poll instead of Diamonds are for Ever it should read Diamonds are Forever. :D

Hey, blame the "WILD TURKEY RARE BREED". ;)

As for the Other option that would include:
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is not Enough
Die Another Day
Casino Royale or
Quantum of Solace

Have seen all but the most recent film. Like many fans, I feel Sir Sean is the best of all but I also like Brosnan and Craig quite a bit. IMHO the first three films with Sir Sean and the Craig "Cassino Royale" are by far the best of the genre -- lancer

The percentages are interesting-they're like shares of "Springtime for Hitler".

Would "Other" also include the original "Casino Royale"?

I have also seen them all and I agree with that. For me, FRwL was the best and QoS was the worst.

I probably would have included the "All" option. Since I wasn't sure this was a complete list, I also voted for "Other."

I think one of the best and probably one of my favorites was From Russia With Love. I didn't really care for the Roger Moore ones. As to least favorite, that would probably be Q of S. It probably would have made sense to see Casino Royale again before I saw this.

Even worse than "Moonraker"? That was God-awful, though I like Richard Kiel, and Michael Lonsdale.

I like Roger Moore, too, but I think his Bond films, from the plots, to the direction, to the way he played Bond, was more parody than straight portrayal of a spy thriller/action story.

It would seem that we are all frustrated action heroes. I love this stuff.-- lancer

Has to be Dr No with the three blind men and the lovely Ursula Andreas risinig like Venus out of the waves.

....
Yes, even worse than MR; as I noted in the QoS thread, at least you could actually see the action in MR.;)

Yo Troopers, sorry to change the movie, but don't you think movies lately are over the top. Sat down the other night expecting to watch a really good movie Great actor Jason Statham Transporter II. What a load of tripe, I mean to me a movie has to be believable unless its Superman. He drives through the wall on top floor of multi story car park, flies two hundred yards across the road and lands in another multi story car park getting built, then you see him drive along the roof tops down an alley way wheels each side of the buildings. TELL ME HOW HE GOT BACK ON THE ROAD. Plus not a scratch on the car. Wont go into the bit were he takes on 12 big beef guys and takes them all out. Does anyone on this forum really enjoy a movie like that, where we know its not possible to do these things. I mean put it against a great movie like Denzel Washington in Man On Fire, and its a real load of rubbish. Wont go into Bond enough said.
Bernard.

My favorite James Bond film is "Live and Let Die". I saw when I was about 10 years old and had the biggest crush on Jane Seymour. I think she is the prettiest James Bond girl.

Goldfinger is the 2nd best Bond film in IMHO.

Jane Seymour is gorgeous, way up there, but for me, its Dame Diana Rigg. In addition to being the best part of the Lazenby Bond movie, she was sooooo hot in the Avengers as Emma Peel!:cool:

I agree with you again Benard. Just as for QoS, it is a shame and waste of talent since Statham is really quite a decent actor and an amazing stunt man on his own. Trans 1 was much better. It seems in trying to out do the last mega effort many directors throw any semblance of plausibility out the window; quite a pity really.:(

I introduced my 13 year old daughter to Bond with Dr. No just last night. She was able to see the influence of Bond on other programs, books and movies she has seen. She picked up the influence on The Incredibles Disney movie in the settings and music.

I must have seen every James Bond film 5-10 times each. The next best question is who is everyones favorite James Bond? Personally I liked Roger Moore.

Tough question, but I see Sean Connery, I have read every book too and I still have the picture of Connery in my mind when I read them, EXCEPT, in Moonraker, that is Roger all the way. Incidentally, I have always liked them both, I only wish Connery never got old!!!

Roger Moore and Sean Connery are by far the best to ever play the role. I'm probably just a little biased because my favorite James Bond is "Octopussy" followed closely by "Goldfinger". Off subject I loved Connery in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Well I agree in part; Connery is my no contest favorite, with Craig (in Casino Royale) a distant second. The thing is I think Sir Sean got better with age; the old SAS warrior in The Rock would could have taken any Bond version with ease and was even more charming than the best 007 protrayal.;):D

And funnily enough, they replaced Sir Sean with Roger Moore on the grounds he was getting too old for the role . . . and Roger Moore is OLDER!!!:eek:

I completely agree that the Sean Connery from the Rock could still pull off the role, but I have enjoyed James Bond in all his various incarnations. I loved Craig in Casino Royale, and (as I haven't gotten around to seeing the sequel) think he is the best since Sir Sean.
