Jenkins Dioramas (1 Viewer)

Thanks for posting your photos. I particularly liked those of the WWI flying corps diorama.

Both of your dioramas are very, very nicely done Nicholas. I especailly like the War of 1812 gun emplacement - lots of terrain levels and features to appease the viewer's eye. I really appreciate you sharing your talents with us . . . .

Both are great. What does the road sign read on the Royal Artillery set up?

Glad you asked, Scott...

Here are the close ups...

Nic

Your setups and photos are excellent. Did you scratch build the airport building?

You should send these pix to John--he will love them.

Randy

Great dioramas....Well done!!
Is the windsock on the airfield scratch built? It looks good.

Pete

I don't know if you can see the detail on the "flight roster"...but it's pretty nice...I'm a little biased cause my name is on it...

can you see yours Papa Z?

I got grounded for excessive drinking and boisterous behaviour...^&grin...Papa Zulu is taking my mission...and he's mad about it...

Pete...Randy...

Yep, everything other than the Jenkins pieces is scratch built.

I wasn't quite sure about the windsock...looks a little like someone lynched the Cat in the Hat.

Those are excellent! Will any of these be on display at the Valley Forge show this weekend?

Hi Walt...and thanks...

Yes, these two pieces will both be on display at Valley Forge...and if I can get myself into gear today, I should finish up the First Sudan War dio (which I will bring as well).

So glad to hear you will have these at MFCA (Valley Forge) this week end. I certainly look forward to seeing them in person. Hope we can link up as I am interested in more detail how you reproduce the backgrounds. I will be easy to find as there are 6 of us coming down from Western Mass for the week end....and we all wear Hawian (sp) shirts...all the same shirt on Sat (We are such sick puppies, but we have a load of fun) , so easy to spot one of us and ask for either PJ or myself. We both would love to have a detailed tour of your display. Actually would love to have a chat with any other Treefroggers at MFCA this weekend.

Hi,
I wish I could come, but I have a commitment to help my reenacting unit restore a vandalized graveyard where members of our unit during the AWI and ACW were interred.

Greetings Froggers...

I recently completed a couple of diorama boards made to display JJD figures at the toy soldier shows over the next few months for Crown Military Miniatures. I have a couple more on the work table and welcome any suggestions for new JJD dioramas or ranges that have not yet been displayed.

Crown's website's gallery now features many of my favourite JJD dioramas (none of them my own, but several by fellow Treefroggers).

Hope you like them...

Met Nick today at the Valley Forge Show, and bought the Royal Flying Corps diorama. Nick is a great guy, and the diorama and backdrop are just as nice in person. ^&cool^&cool Photos to follow when I get it all set up tomorrow.

I sent Brad three photographs of the diorama with my JJD RFC warbirds and figure with a polite request that he post them on this thread.:smile2:

Here are the photos.

Nice get on the dio, Louis. The aircraft look great. Nothing like seeing the aircraft in context to really appreciate how well they are done. -- Al
