John, that jetty looks cool, I'll be getting two plus the linking bridge that's coming out later.

Yes it really is a great piece, I'm sure you will enjoy it! I think that linking

bridge is really going to make the piece even nicer!

Yes ill be getting 2 with the linking bridge to. My pics are here in the k&c thread somewhere.

I got it about a month ago to go with the gun boat I'm slowly building. Unfortunately I was a bit negligent and forgot to remove the price tag. My wife said, "You paid that for it!?"  What could I say? 'It's worth it.'

What I did is say nothing. I think it was the most effective defence under the circumstances.

Well it's a month later and she seems to have forgotten. :)

John your second photo shows a nice looking diorama, but the first one seems to have a dolly sinking into the waters. :)

I had that problem a couple of times - until I turn to ask how much NEW SHOE PURCHASES were costing - now we don't discuss these matters anymore ! ;)

HaHa, yeah........what's good for the goose is good for the gander :D

Hey russell, i am glad i am not the only one who has been negligent with recipts and such. I read your post and got a nice chuckle out of it. Thanks

Yes, that is my old work station and the dolly is a Pre-war Lionel Hand Truck.:D That is another little hobby of mine, I love Magliner hand trucks! I first came in contact with them when I worked for Coca Cola many years ago. You can mix and match frames, plates, wheels, add stair climbers and make one for almost any task. I have 10 of them in my shop including a folding one for train shows (500lb cap) and the flatbed that will handle load up to 1000lbs. Try explaining why you need 10 of those babies to the wife.:D

Diorama is actually storage console that has SS Headquarters & backlot buildings. I recently added a nice work table so it should take me atleast 15 minutes or so to fill that up!

I tend to discuss items that are leaving..........and remain silent on new

arrivals.:D

I got one at the Texas Show. I will use it with my gun boat that I am attempting to build. So, for now, it is standing by on my shelf awaiting further orders.

I think its going to be a great piece! I can see it in a nice wall unit perhaps

a half dozen linked together with the bridges. Perhaps the Normandy Village

buildings behind it making a wonderful scene for a great diorama. It has a lot

of potential.

John, I agree but I must admit I did have some initial reservations as I don't yet have any boats or landing craft in 1/30 scale. However after seeing it displayed in dios without boats and just with vehicles and troops I realized it was a really versatile set, and not very expensive - which is important these days.

I would agree, it is very well done, and quite large. Very good value for the

money. It is quite a bit lighter then I expected, yet still sturdy enough to

easily hold several vehicles or a load of troops.
