JJD Advent Calendar 2025 (5 Viewers)

Another Cheyenne! This suggests a series that could be as prolific as the Sioux one!

It seems John is reviewing the different Cheyenne societies... I'll list the main ones for you:

-The Fox Warrior Society (1st society)
-The Coyote Warrior Society
-The gun Society
The Coyote Warriors and the warriors gun are branches of the Fox Warrior Society...

-The Elk Warrior Society (2nd Society)
-The Shield Warrior Society (3rd Society)
-The Buffalo Warrior Society
-The Red Shield Society
The Buffalo Warriors and the Red Shields were branches of the Shield Warrior Society.

-The bowstrings (4th Society)
-The Wolf Warrior Society (Southern Cheyenne)
-The Mad Dog Society (Northern Cheyenne)
The Wolf Warriors and the Mad Dogs originated from the bowstrings.

-The Society of Warrior Dogs or Dog-Men
-The Society of Opposite Warriors
-The Society of Mad Dogs (a fusion of the Warrior Dogs and Wolf-Warriors within the Northern Cheyenne)

The Mad Dogs are often considered a sixth society rather than a branch of the fifth.

-The Society of Opposite or Inverted Warriors (the sixth society)
-The society of warriors clowns

and finally... The Warrior Society of Women

Seems to have gone quickly Mike. Zulu has featured heavily, suggesting 2026 is going to be a big year for this series. Indicating what is on the horizon, certainly assists with the budgeting process and provides a wonderful world of anticipation. Robin.

Ah yes Zulus Robin, but let's not forget that the Cheyenne Warrior figures made a big appearance too. Might there be more? 🤔😉

This set is superb! John should make one for "Plains Thunder" or "Fur Trade," with a trapper and a Crow; that would be truly original!

I want some more dog soldiers

I love this zulu mounted infantry vignette. Hope we get some more NNC Togo with this lot. The NNC and mounted infantry were in the pursuit of the zulu at the end of the battle

The Gold Rush
Captain Jonathan R. Davis

Dec202025-X2.jpg

As I posted on the JJD FB group, although he was considered a heroic legend of the Gold Rush era, single handedly killing 11 robbers in a gun fight, this figure could also be used as a would-be robber . . . "Stand and Deliver"
