Just received JJD US Navy pilot figures yesterday.

Wow, perfect match with my old 21st Century Corsair fighter (1/32 scale).

Yeah, my plane is dusty and I will clean it off later, but look how good the figure fits. BTW, this Mark Vuncannon, Build-A-Rama customized this plane some time ago.

Yes, I also have the JJD Corsair in my collection.

Does this give any of you some who own these 21st Century planes, about upgrading your pilots with these beautiful JJD figures?

What do you think?

Carlos

NICE idea.
I am not sure I would clean off the dust .. :rolleyes2: .. sort of adds a touch of weathering to the scene.

Thank you for the hint.

Looks pretty good together Carlos although he is probably still a touch too big for the 1/32 model. The Corsair was a huge fighter.

Attached is a photo of me standing next to a Corsair and I'm 6'0" tall. I look tiny next to the plane.

I have this same 21st C. Corsair as well. I don't have any of the Jenkins Corsairs.

Is there any way you could post a comparison photo of this 21st C. model and a JJD Corsair? Would be interesting to see the two side by side.

I use the JJD Navy Pilots in my 1/32 Hobby Master F6F and SBD. A perfect fit in the cockpit and a very realistic figure.

I hope JJD produces some Luftwaffe pilots to fit into my 21st Century FW 190 D and ME 262.

Try it, you'll love it!

It's perfect, google actual WWII pilots in Corsair's and compare it with my photos.

You won't be disappointed.

Photos of the JJD pilot in the cockpit of the hobby master SBD and F6F. The standing figure is the W.Britains Navel aviator figure; which is 61mm tall and is the correct size when placed next to a 21st century F4U, looks just like the actual photo posted.

The pilot seats in the F6F, SBD and F4U had height adjustments to accomidate short or tall pilots.

I used to have that same 21st Century 32x Corsair! Sadly I sold it nearly a decade ago, but did keep the Royal Navy and VF-17 versions in my collection... That said, the JJD pilot figure looks great in the Corsair. I’ve thought about getting a couple more of those half-figures to go in my Hobby Master 1/32 scale diecast planes, just like what katana posted pics of... The stock Hobby Master 1/32 scale pilots were awful!

Here are more pictures showing two JJD figures along side the 21st Century Corsair for scale purposes.

Looks like a match right?

Thanks Carlos for the additional photos. Those JJD figures do look good with the 21st C. Corsair. They are certainly close enough to pass. Makes me want to get some of these figures.

Anyone know of other manufacturers of corsairs, hellcats etc?
I am looking to fill the deck of my bunker hill without spending $300 per plane

The Hobby Master 1/32 diecast Hellcat and SBD can be found on Ebay for under $200.00. The 21st Century 1/32 F4U
is on Ebay for less than $100.00. The JJD figures look good with 1/32 aircraft; as they are no larger than 60mm.
