Your photos are spot-on for what we have decided to open for X-Mas (JJD 1066).
You really know how to take a photo that looks like a painting, which we think is awesome.
Our only question is:
Where are the Normans?!
Maybe next diorama will show Senlac Hill...
Anyway we love the Viking Era and 1066 in particular and your display even more specifically. We have been researching it for our Holiday openings and we learned that there is always more to learn!
Happy Holidays Mike & All!

An interesting set up Mike with the inclusion of the carved idols remind me of a cave scene in the 1960's movie Fall of the Roman Empire :salute::

Looks like Uhtred of Bebbanburg is enjoying one of his many battles.
It also looks like Brunanburh or Maldon might have.
Superb collection, awesome scene (I like the idol also) & great photography (I like the lighting).
Fun to see Mad Mike fighting with the Viking that Cornwell made so fun.
Best Wishes in 2023 (a Viking/Saxon/Norman year for us until X-Mas, then El Cid & Malta).
Paddy
