That Marne Taxi looks like an awesome model.
That will be one item for the collection :wink2: :smile2:

4 someone that had no interest in WW1 I now find myself collecting across 5 of my usual makers for other series, so the range is expanding at the rate of knots for me. The taxi will be on the growing list. Cheers, Robin.

Here was me thinking I had the scoop on the Marne taxi when I saw it in the flesh a few hours ago. John then mentioned had been at the show. I do however have colour photo so hopefully will get it on forum after back to Oz this time tomorrow.

John has some very nice items coming some of which I was allowed to photo.

posted while waiting for plane. IPAD,s are useful after all !

Hi Brett, how exciting! yes, please post the painted Taxi when you get home, and can't wait to see what else you have since I was there. I am guessing the Taxi is Blue, but Adam (Uncas) says it is Burgandy! Having typed this can I change my guess to black.....? do tell! :)
Have a great flight.

Maj,
As you would know some interesting things to been seen in John's lair. Marne taxi was one of the colours you mentioned.

I took some shots similar to yours posted recently although the staff were on holiday. Just so members know John was working on a public holiday. Some items I had seen before in prototype and now painted and quite a few I had not seen before. A couple of building items I can reveal with photos also.

posted from Changi airport.

Hi all – my first posting, please forgive any howlers!

I’d like to share some photos I took at the JJD UK stand last Saturday June 30th.
James and Adam were on fine form – and very busy but always finding time for a chat. I even picked up some handy tips from Adam on diorama modelling!
I came away with the SE5a – superb! It has to be the best WW1 Plane yet. The Mick Mannock figure, the 2 British Pilots and my free London Show War of the Roses Archer figure – it really is a lovely piece. If this is the start of a new series – I’m in!
Cheers,
Roy.

Welcome to the forum Roy!
Thank you for these great photos!
Me too on the WOR series.

That's a great shot you provided of the hanger - nice paint!

Looking forward to the SE5a myself - Another couple of weeks before one makes its way to FL.

Donnie

Update: Just recieved notification that all of the July releases are on their way to me - So should have the SE5a in 7 days.

I would like second that welcome Roy and also a big THANK YOU for the photos. London is a bit far from Boston so having your eyes and camera skills help a lot. -- Larry

Welcome to the forum, Roy,
and thank you for the nice pictures you posted.
John Jenkins sure does a lot of great stuff :wink2:
Konrad

So who is who in the pictures? Does Adam have the long hair or short hair?

Really nice photos. Looks like there was plenty of moving room at the show. I've been to some that only had 4 feet between the tables. Gets a bit tight.

Hi Donnie, Larry, Konrad and Matthew,
Many thanks for your kind words and warm welcome to the site - most appreciated!
I took the pics quite early on, it got a lot busier later!. The London Show is always a good visit and very well attended.
It's split between 2 halls which seems to give everyone plenty of space.
James has the long fair hair and Adam is the "Skinhead" (!)
Roy.

Thanks, everyone, for the pics, it's a nice look at what John has in the works. And welcome Roy, well done for your first posts! ;)

Prost!
Brad

Fantastic pics, JJD makes so many wonderful lines. ^&cool Thanks to all who posted them I've really enjoyed viewing them.

Hi again,
James and Adam had a laminated photo copy of this picture of the Leuthen Gate and Walls on their stand. I took a quick snap of it.
I can't wait to see the painted product - Should be stunning. Up to now I 've only collected the Knights of the Skies
series but I'm going to have to go with Leuthen as well now!

Cheers,
Roy.

Thanks for posting the image Roy!
That is going to help make a wonderful display of Leuthen.

It's great when John makes all the nice sets that collectors dream of.

Donnie

Hi Roy,
a nice picture of what's to come for the Battle of Leuthen.
And as you, I'm in for this range and really looking forward to getting the necessary sets together through the next couple of months.
Konrad
