Konrad,

You are most welcome.

I am very glad you got the set at a pretty good price.

Raymond.:)

Hi Konrad,

Congratulations! You made an outstanding purchase! I look forward to the photos you will be posting. I cannot think of a better home than yours for these charming figures!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

I wonder if John would make the castings available for us do-it-yourselfers...

I received the set today and here are some photos to get a better look at the figures.
A real charming set but too matte for me. Most likely I will give them a gloss coat.
Thanks again to glossman and polarbear for pointing it out.
Konrad

Hi Konrad,

Your Croquet Game set is beautiful and charming! I am always a bit enchanted by such sets and similar scenes. While I am thoroughly excited by the action oriented military figures and dioramas, I smile at the figures and sets that depict people at play. For me, they add a desired break from the seriousness communicated by figures engaged in combat roles.

Thank you for sharing your figures with us. Your figures and photograps are wonderful!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Konrad,

I am very glad you managed to get this very nice set.

Your photos make the set look even better.

Athough a diehard glossman, the matteness of the set looks fine.

Raymond.

Great set indeed! Sarum also made an excellent Victorian Croquet set in a while ago...

Thanks for the comments, guys,
will have to look at them for a while to see wether I like the finish as it is or if I really do want it glossier. Not sure yet.
Konrad

Great pictures of a very nice set Konrad

Cheers

Konrad...Where did you buy the Palm Trees? Who makes them?

The palm trees are discontinued items from Dept 56
Look for them on ebay. They come up once in a while.
