I'm going to be the first to congratulate Randy on the spectacular job he did on the 2010 Calendars with the Snow Shoes theme.

As a Jenkins fan...I really appreciate it.

Every single picture is beautifully staged and expertly photographed.

Obviously a lot of time, thought and effort went into each photo and the text accompanying it..

The story of the battle itself...richly told....month by month...to explain the engagement in chronological order with the pictures to match was brilliant.

Your style is unmistakable and bold Randy.

Thank you the monumental effort to create one of the nicest calendars I have ever seen or owned.

A magnificent collaboration of your talent and effort.

Mine is sitting on my desk waiting for January...thank you Randy...well done!

part of the conclusion to the engagement...

a very thought provoking photo with graphic and brutal dialog detailing the atrocities and hardships of life within the FIW era...

Thank you for your kind words. I had a great time working on it with John. He is a great visual director and gave me the confidence and support to shoot larger groups of figures than I usually do. My task was to use every figure in the series at least once.

I want to thank Joe Quintini (the Lt.) for introducing me to the world of the photo diorama and you Mike for showing me by your example of how to add 3d trees from branches around the yard and the process of securing them in a sheet of styrofoam. You are the Mr. Wizard of scratch building. There is a poem by Tennyson that says "I am part of all that I have met" and that is certainly true for what I have experienced on this forum.

Look forward to seeing it. I would like to see John do an annual catalog that would contain photos and information on every set released that year. It would be a nice reference. Hard to keep track after a certain point.

I would be happy to see his website current...Randy...you should take it over and be his webmaster...I hate searching everywhere for his stuff.

You know...his stuff retires so quickly...sometimes I have to look at three or four websites to find it...an annual catalog would be really nice....

Last year a JJ collector created an entire illustrated catalog of John's work and sent pdf copies to all who wanted one. Unfortunately I do not remember who this was and lost my copy when my MAC died a few weeks ago. I believe that Kevin Elliott and Louis Badalato are thinking about doing a photo book on John like the ones for Figarti and K&C. They are looking for folks with large JJ collections to photograph.

I have large collections...every single figure he issued...except no POA or at least...very little POA.

As long as you are still buying JJ from your dealer they will send you one. They often wait to pack it in with a new order.

Got mine today with my Khartoum set.

Randy, your photos are specacular, and the calendar is really a fine piece of eye candy. You have to look very hard to realize the pictures are of toy soldiers and not actual photos or reinactors or the like. Brilliant work!!

Thank you PJ. This is the project I was supposed to meet with John on in Boston and to pick up the Langy figure I needed for the May shot. Matt Murphy kindly mailed it to me since I was unable to come down.
