I took some of the yellow out of your snow with Photoshop Elements to give you an idea of how it might blend better with your backdrop as we discussed on the phone.

Randy

Michael, with Randy's assistance this photo in my opinion is the best of the bunch. Really very nice.

Randy is a wizard with that software...I just downloaded a free version of it and am more than perplexed on how to work it...

Mike I'm sure you will figure it out.You have a natural talent for this work.

Mark...I have it downloaded now and I can't get past Alt-click...

they have so many videos that take forever to watch...

I'm about ready to un-install it...

I think I'll just do a cartoon book...

I got that piece of software figured out...

this could be fun...

maybe do an expedition of the Rangers...

comic book style...something like this...

but a full length story with about 10 pictures...

I always liked comic books as a kid...

"The Adventures of Robert Rogers"...:D:D:D

in fact...I think I will do this...it could be a fun project...God knows I got enough figures to pull it off...

Go for it Michael.... Sounds good.

The "comic book" style is really neat Michael. Certainly worth your time playing around with it.

Please do proceed with this comic book look. It is very interesting and very fun visually. I would certainly collect "The Adventures of Robert Rogers" by Michael Miller in comic book form if it was available.:D -- Al

Mike...These photos are just unbelievable. You are really making my day here. I can't thank you enough. Please keep them coming and excuse me upfront if I steal a few of your ideas for the museum display, specifically the 2 indians pulling the canoe down to the water....it is an excellent re-pose of those figures.

I'm building a permanent shelf diorama for my Snow Shoes figures...

I built, stained and polyurethaned in gloss a wooden frame...

it came out nice...

I made it out of floor baseboard...

I made it to fit exactly inside the shelf space that the displayed figures are on now...

I took a piece of styrofoam and cut it to fit inside the frame...

I did a small stream in the middle and set a couple of shrubs permanently...

but I have not figured out what else to do for trees, rocks or shrubs yet...the ones in the photo are just laying loose...

I'm scared of the long term effects of the Woodland Scenics Snow Flakes...

I have heard that they have adhered permanently to John's blockhouse and cabins if left on for a long time...so I'm scared to leave them on the metal bases of the figures too long...

so...

I actually took a jar of the WS Snow to Walmart and they scanned it and blended me a quart of paint to match it...it looks pretty close...

anyway...I think this will be a better way to display my figures...the groundwork, river, shrubs and trees are all self contained inside the box...

so no mess on the shelf...:D

I'll post some pictures when I finish it...
