John Jenkins' 10th anniversary in the toy soldier industry is fast approaching. When last he called from China to check on my health and family, he mentioned that he would be coming to New York in April or May. I haven't had the heart to have a Symposium since Larry Lo passed, but I would love to have a special event to celebrate John's 10th Anniversary. If you are interested, please let me know on this thread.

Oh, and John, if you are watching, please let me know when you will be in New York, so I can set dates and start making arrangements.
 
If it's convenient to his travel schedule, you might want to bring John down to our show, too. It's later in May than usual, on the 20th and 21st.

He and I have traded a few texts lately and he said he was going to be in NY but heard nothing back.

I wonder if we should combine this with a remembrance of Larry but I don't want to detract from John.

Hi Louis

I'm scheduled for Spain mid to late April but if the date is anytime in May-count me in. We would probably tie it in with a week's vacation in NYC. Let me know soonest as it would be an absolute blinder to catch up with you and Meredith again.

I am around in May as well. I got the impression that John was not traveling much this year but you can check with him.

John told me he would be in the area in May, and we discussed a little anniversary celebration. I would appreciate all the help I can get with it. Perhaps we can do a tour of your collection as well.

I reached out to Hans, but last I heard his wife had some health issues, and he hasn't gotten back to me. I hope he is all right.

Wouldn't it be great if the timing worked out so we could go to Brad's Valley Forge show, and make nearly a full scale Symposium of it?

I e-mailed John. Once I hear back, I will let everyone know the dates.
 
Just got off the phone with John. He won't know for sure when and if he is going to make it to the tri-state area until the end of March.

He hopes to be able to make it at the same time as the Valley Forge Show. He will keep me posted and assuming he is coming, I will keep you posted and start the planning (I hope with the help of both Brads and Rich) ASAP.

I would be up for it too, I will be with Hans next week at the Westcoaster and will let him know, I am sure he would be up for it!

John told me he would let me know if he was coming by the end of March. It's April 2nd. John?
 
Had the pleasure of getting a call from John today. As suspected he can't make it to the U.S. this spring but hopes to come next spring. If he can make it, we will celebrate his 11th anniversary in the industry.
