June Competition is now open - little different this time!
3 clues which hopefully make it more interesting as all answers are linked:

1. Poor lawrence met his end here
2. Probably their best exhibit is captured here
3. Rudyard Kipling poem

Competition open for a week until the 29th June and 1 person will be pulled out of the hat to receive a free sample of their choice.

Good luck!
Regards Blake

Wow great clues. It made it much more interesting. I hope I win. Thanks for the competition Blake.

Well i've put my answer in but i think i'm way off this month.:(

Having pondered it with another forum member i might be nearer than i thought!;)

That's a good point. With a company name of The New Model Army, a Cromwell should be on the list. :)

Hi Guys,

I think its a Tiger 1 from North Africa but I am guessing because I still need to work out the last clue and the 2d clue is really hard to call but they do have one that runs... Very neat clues though.

I thought Lawrence died in England, if that's what "met his end here" means.

P.S. boys, boys. He died in Dorset and Dorset is near......Bovington!

And Bovington has a .................working model of a Tiger 1!

And Kipling wrote.....Tiger! Tiger!

Please, no thanks are necessary, not necessary at all!

Hi Brad,

You got it. I just hadnt finished going through all of Kiplings poems this morning and since the first two clues made sense to me I figured it must be another Tiger. Oh well I hope the guys at NMA get around to doing some of the Allied especially UK armoured Vehicles.

Have a great weekend

Dave

Red Devil,

I don't know if you're being facetious but assuming you're not, I went to the web and got a bio of Col. Lawrence which said he died in Dorset and the article happened to mention that was near Bovington so I looked up the museum to see what they had and then hit a list of Kipling's poems. Sorry but I can't claim any great insight here.

I entered the Tiger as my answer, but i didn't want to post in case i gave it away, but now its been said what the heck!:D

Rob

I'm not sure the Tiger is the best choice here. Honour Bound is coming out with its line of Tigers later this year and I'm sure there will be customers who will be sitting on the fence until they see what both companies' Tigers look like.

I would have much preferred a Cromwell or something like that but I know Tiger sell.

Hi Brad,

You hit it on the head again. I am interested in the up coming release but will be looking very closely at both before I spend the cash. Time will tell on this one, of course they may go quickly just due to the cost so that may prompt a lot of folks to pick it up.

Talk to you later

Dave

Damian I like it - very funny!
Regarding HB and NMA Tigers I think NMA will relase an early verison Tiger as they can then do a desert verison - if they had gone for a late version they would not be able to go down this route which is where HB are heading with their Wittmann Tiger. Personally I want a desert Tiger so will not be waiting for HB and at $195 I reckon I can get 2 NMA for that anyway. I bought 3 of the Lynx and it is a quantum leap for them as a company and looking forward to seeing their Tiger whichever version it is.
I will be in the UK next week so will hopefully be able to get to the show and see the purple 88mm everybody keeps talking about!
