June LTSS Today - Bumper crop of new JJD at the Grey Goose Collectables stand! (1 Viewer)

Just need a Roman shield wall/Testudo for the leaping Celts to attack! (oh TG have one!!)

Pete[/QUOTE]

The acid test for me will be how do the JJD and TG figures match scale wise? I've had an issue in the past where figures from different manufacturers just don't
fit together...dwarfs v giants: JJD v K&C WW1, JJD & TG FIW. All supposedly the same scale, until you put them together.... Just my opinion mind you.

As an aside, does anybody know how the JJD Celts match the TG Roman's historically? I'm not a rivet counter, but the Roman Empire lasted for quite a few centuries. Just a thought.

Finally, it looks like Mike the Barbarian gets his horde to lead!!! Pillage on, Mike!!!

And, no, I did not say the word "We will need a Boat". Not me, no way, I did not say that, did not say that, did not say that!!!

Well done Roy, your coverage on JJD is wonderful. Like you, one gun will not be enough, our Aussie John will not be able to keep his hands off anything artillery either. The Jagdpather is supberb and the Celts are required to repel my growing Roman collection. If nothing else JJD has made the London event a success single handed. Good on you Roy. Robin.

Ken my man...

yes you're right...the horde is finally coming...

Absolutely outstanding painting/weathering on the Jagd!!! the detail along with the camo style puts this tank up there with Honor Bound or even better, but since I do not have any HB it's not for me to say, but just from comparing the photos it is everything I was hoping for, the more subdued weathering that JJD has used on it's WWI product works perfectly for the Jagd, so congrats to John and team at JJD for jumping in the WWII waters, can't wait to see what's next.

Wonder how these will be marketed, as Celts or Visgoths or Franks or Vikings or something else. Please note, I still did not ask for a "boat".

But I can see it now, the year is 991 A.D., a "Viking" ship entering the St. Lawrence River at Quebec, surrounded by swarms of canoes!!!

The JP is fantastic. It would be nice to know if there will be any variants since the English pound conversion to dollars is going to be about $330 to buy one. I would like to see a winter version.

Normally the price in $ is a bit more than the price in GBP. So at GBP255 the US price could be $280 - $290

You need to take off 20% VAT

Regardless of the exact cost, it is a high ticket item. It would be nice to know whether there will be variants or if this is it for purposes of deciding whether to buy this one or wait to see the others.

I would also like to know if further versions are planned but this might be a hard question for John to answer as further variants might depend upon the success of this variant in terms of sales. I have to say that while I am no longer an active WW2 armor collector, I would be interested in this model if it is to be done in an ambush camo. I really like this JP in terms of detail but am not attracted to the rather typical camo of this version. I might buy this version if I think it is the only version coming, but i would prefer to hold on for a version I find more interesting in terms of camo. -- Al

Hoping the release info when the tank comes out will say something about JJD's future plans in regards to various versions, crew, support troops, etc.
Was not planning on collecting WWII again, but this might be a game changer.
