Just a thought (for Shannon & Peter) (1 Viewer)

Nice bit of brain-storming guys, of course I may be biased.

I think Don Troiani did a painting or 2 featuring the 1st MN which could serve as a model or source of inspiration for such figures.

Intersting idea... I think a tie-in with Treefrog and Minnesota would be a neat idea. Besides "FIRST Minnesota" and "FIRST Treefrog figure" go well together!
Somewhat cheaper than a 1:30 scale offering of the USS Minneapolis (the WW2 heavy cruiser).

Much more practical than going waaay out on the limb to do a vehicle. Plus Tiger tanks are like string - every yo-yo has one!

Make sure it is in a pose which you want to buy several figures - Marching, Shooting, and Standing at Attention - things like that - then people (like me) will buy multiples. ;)

--Yes, he did. I almost bought one when I visited Gettysburg last time!!! I would prefer charging soldiers, but I have to say if you could incorporate the torn flag and/or retreating Zouave into it, that would be spectacular. I am not sure if Troiani is still working with Conte though. I have not seen them do anything together in a long time.

When I spoke with Keith Rocco this past summer - Conte has a real lack of communication with him. Not sure if its the same for Troiani - but, Rocco isn't working on anything else with Conte.

Didn't Troiani start his own line of Soldiers ?? Wonder if he plans to do more ??

Troiani did have a line but nothing has been done in years.

Frogs in multiple poses. Frogs with two heads, frogs with only one leg, frogs with two arms and two legs and two bodies. That way you can "marsh"all  your troops. Minnesota is home to the most "unusual" frogs in quite a while. Sooo, frogs. After all it does match the company logo.:D

Indeed, here is the one depicting the charge.

Is that a shamrock on the officers chest ? Was the first Minnie an Irish reg.?

Great suggestions guys. With manufacturers scrambling for factory time I'm not sure this is the time to be making commission requests but I like your ideas and will definitely give them some thought for sometime in the future.
Best regards,

No because it's not a shamrock but the badge of the Federal II Corps
They were some of Hancocks (Commanding General II Corps) boys-1st Brigade 2nd Division to be exact and it was Hancock himself who ordered them to execute their suicidal charge which stopped Cadmus Wilcox's 1600 Alabaman's dead in their tracks and saved the Union line on that second day at Gettysburg.
