I have just taken delivery of the Assassination of Heydrich, and i am very pleased with it.I must say i had my doubts but now its arrived i'm glad i ordered it.Its a daring and different set piece and it works well. The car is superb and the figures really do tell the story in front of you.True it is a stand alone set,but i think its a great salute to resistance fighters all over Europe who continued the fight whilst under constant threat of torture and death. And to see one of the most loathsome Nazi's(even by Nazi standards)getting his comeuppence is no bad thing.Thank you Andy.

As i said in the e-mail glad you like it. When our show room is open i have bought a MK2 Sten Gun and a WWII deactive Grenade. We also have a write up from A customer of ours who was five at the time of the assisination who lived in the town it happened. These will all go around this to make a nice display.

We are all on high security alert as Simon (Wraith) is on his way to see the K&CUK set up.
I will be introducing him to my MG42 and tripod stand to make sure he understand that theives dont get prosicuted they just get shot!:D

HMMMM. Looting ends in shooting. I like it. :D:D

Having seen the quality of this set i think Andy could do a stunning job on some French resistance fighters.

This set will be in my order for september, along with some SOHK items :)

Now, I just have to wait for the retirements to complete it.

Pierre.

I got mine yesterday, but I am a little confused, some pictures of the set show an explosion in the back seat of the car, while others do not show it.
I looked all thru the box to see if there was some sort of piece to place in the back seat, however I could not fine one.
So is there, or isn,t there an explosion?
Gary

Gary, theres no explosion, its just a picture to give you an idea of what happened.

Rob

Get some baking powder and make your own explosion in teh car. It will be a peice of performace art. ;);)

Damian, sounds as if either you have bombing or baking experience, hope you are known for your cakes!!!:D:D

Yeah, and a Virginia McKenna personality figure as well. (Giving away my adolescent fantasies here.)
Getting back to Heydrich, look, the flyer I have clearly shows an explosion. Therefore when I finally get my hands on this set, I fully expect K&C to provide me with an explosion. And I want an explosion every day at 18:00PM as this will also provide an indication that dinner's ready. Doesn't have to be a big explosion, just big enough to blow Heydrich's @ss away.....every day.
I don't think I've enough chemical knowledge to mix the correct quantities of baking powder and fertilizer myself - might end up blowing the house down, so as far as I'm concerned its K&C's responsibility and civic duty to provide me with the correct type of explosion.....every day.....cos that's what's shown on the flyer.....:D:D

Found a nice spot in my office for Mr Heydrich's demise.By the way,i know there was much discussion about the colour of the car but it is a lovely vehicle. Will be interesting to see how well this sells compared to other SL editions.

I mentioned the fact on the box and imagery that K&C have used they need to be careful with all this CGI they are starting to use as they will leed collectors to think that these items are available as shown.

The FOB peice on their website for example is not real but makes you think you may get harbour walls and boats etc.

There is no explosion and i dont think it was needed as if you know the story then you knwo what happened and dont need it.

Sales will be interesting.........we are sold out. Not sure what the rest of the world is like.

I haven't heard of Baking Powder and Fertiliser but I know Diesel Oil and Pelleted fertiliser works a treat as I've seen a few stumps blown out with that little mix :)

I think the bomb thrown at Heydrich exploded under the car near the back wheel.

Btw, another bomb in a car trick is to put some talcum powder down the air vent intake and when they start-up they get a car full of white powder. A friend of a friend did it to a honeymooning couple and apparently they weren't to impressed, seems a bit dangerous to me

Tony,

Many thanks for the guided tour around K&C UK. It was, as you know, like giving a big kid access to a sweet shop. I might have taken my chances with the Sten (jamming or mag falling out) and the grenade (plenty of cover in the stock room from fragmentation), but I thought I might be pushing it trying to outrun 1500 rpm from the MG42.

And thanks for priming my 6 year old on the £2.72 total purchase cost (selective positioning of the decimal point). He grassed me up to that tune within 30 seconds of seeing my other half, and I don't think she bought it. We need to have some Father and Son talks.

Look forward to seeing the new set up next year.

Cheers,
Simon

Is it the mythical, wonderful place we always dreamed of Simon?!!.:DThere are two mythical lengandary places in England.K&C UK and another place i'm not sure i believe in...Cadbury world:eek::eek:
