Just ordered the storch and the first 2 sets of Wake Island figures froim Matt at Hobby Bunker.
They won,t ship until about 2 weeks when they all come in.
Looks like I,ll be one of the first kids on the block to own these and I will give my report.

I bought the first Wake Is. set from Matt at the Westcoaster, and I must say I really enjoy the figures and look forward to the rest of the series. The paint jobs are excellent. I really like the Pacific Theater in general, but judging by K & C's sales of of their IJ sets, I might be one of the only ones. So my opinion is a little skewed, is what I'm saying in terms of judging a set that is something I think is great idea to produce. I love the K & C IJ figures, btw; I do not understand their apparent lack of popularity. I think they are actually among K & C's finest figures produced to date. Anyways, in my biased opinion, you can't go wrong picking up the Wake Is. sets. Great early war helmets! Joe

Who did you order them from?? Treefrog doesn't have them listed as yet

I have looked and can not find them on Hobby Bunker's website. Are they taking phone orders?

Matt from Hobby Bunker posted this info here on TF,s yesterday.
I called him right away and got my order in. I believe he had only 4 storches, now 3 as I got one.
When I talked to Matt he told me if sales go well on the Wake Island sets there will be many more down the line.

I received the second wake Island set this week. I will post pictures and more info by the end of the week. Thanks, matt

Got my storch & Wake Island figures today.
Like the Wake Island figures, certainly will buy more and hope that this set expands. But as usual the Figarti figures do not quite measure up to the quality of K&C.

I,ll give the storch an A. I was nervous about opening the box and finding the plane damaged but it arrived safely, nothing broken.
As with a lot of Figarti releases the plane is big and really stands out.
Very happy with my purchase.

Gary,

How about some photos. I'm glad you got the Storch fine. Based upon my history with Figarti products, I would only buy one at a show.

Here are some pictures of first two Wake Island Sets along with the STorch. Gary I carefully re-packed inspected yours and re-cut foam for safer travel. Overall I think the storch is a great piece. I have sent them some feedback for better packaging for safer travel. I will have the Wake Island sets posted at www.hobbybunker.com on friday. # WIA-005 and WIA-008

The Rock is also for sale. we sell them under our Hobby Bunker products HB0057 and HB0058. We can paint them upon request.

Is the engine cowling cover removed or it came as pictured?
Is there an MG on the rear?
Any details inside the cockpit?
Is there a landig light adjacent to the pitot tube?

Can't wait to have my hands on this baby. It looks bigger than the KC warbird...but then again Ithink the KCversion is 1/32. I have the "KC Greek" version, but the two will never display side by side since one was Mediterranean and the other is African version.

Mark:

Can you show the rear view of the Storch?

Thanks

Thanks for the photos. The Marine sets look great except for a few figures with no slings on their weapons. I never saw a marine without a sling on their weapon. Slings are used to hold the weapon steady while firing.
