Hey guys, I was looking over my American sets just there, I've got nearly all the 3rd infantry division sets (Apart from Mortar set and quad halftrack) including 'Attack Patrol' which was the first k&C set I ever got and I noticed a couple of problems, which could easily be errected by Andy!:D

Anyone who has these sets, Greyhound, Tank Rders, Attack Patrol, Patrol, and GMC Jimmy Truck and Passengers will have:

9 Privates
5 PFCs
4 Corporals
1 Sergeant
1 Staff (From DD34, random standing infantrymen which is meant to be 3rd Infantry)
1 Lt
1 other figure who is the driver of the greyhound:)

The sets have a bazookaman, several riflemen, tank rider with what looks like a springlfield, 2 BAR men, one sergeant with Tommy, and an Ltwith carbine

However, this regiment could be complete with the following: Captain, Medics, A couple more thompson's and maybe a couple of wounded figures:)

Will type the rest of this thread up fter footbal!:D

Bye lads!

Here we go!:D

Maybe it's a bit late for this, but I think it would be good to see some more of this division to fill out the ranks!;)Maybe a Willys Jeep with a PFC driving, with a captain and sergeant as the passengers?:)Maybe even a captured german or civilian or french resistance fighter sitting in the back?:)

What would also be good would be some new infantry figures, except a whole range of sets for the same division, not the 29th as they would naturally be better for beach sets, but this division could see the release of newer updated trucks and jeeps, maybe some new american patrols, but definetly new TANK RIDERS!:eek:could also do with some new american D-Day mps!:D

Additions to regular gi's in fighting poses. Gi standing firing rifle, standing and kneeling gi's firing there tommy guns. A guy lying prone with his bar with a tripod down to steady his aim! Hand to Hand sets?!?!?:eek::eek:
(getting a little carried away here)

As far as "a couple more Thompsons", please note that there were darned few submachineguns actually in the official TO&E of an infantry regiment of WW2. Now the GIs might pick them up as they could (appears to have varied by outfit), but there is no standard of how many Tommy guns one needs for a US Army infantry regiment. Some other additions might include .30 caliber water cooled HMGs (each battalion had them in their weapons company), 60mm mortars (each company), the AT company (Gun Platoon with 57mm AT guns and Mine Platoon with AT mines) and/or Regimental Cannon Company (short-barrel 105s). The biggest thing one needs for the 3rd Infantry Division - Audie Leon Murphy!!!!!!

I think the poses and armament in the big red one figures was spot on so, it will only be a short time before more D-Day divisions will be released

Quite right - there are those of us who will buy more "basic" GIs from the "DDay" series. Fortunately K&C keeps providing them :)
