Kevin Elliott, Lawrence Lo and myself will soon be announcing the release of Volume 3 of the K&C History, on glossy figures from 1984 through 1996. We shot the last few shots we needed for volumes 2 (warbirds), 3 (Glossy from 1984 through 1996) and 4 (Vietnam and Modern Wars).

For volume 3, we were able to photograph all but 3 of the regular production glossy figures from 1984 through 1996, and several of the one of a kind special figures made during this period. The text and photography are all done as of May 15th, and Kevin will be completing the editting over the next month or two.

Hi Louis,

Finally a K&C book I am interested in:)

I look forward to seeing the photos of the NWF sets which are quite possibly the best they have produced, my opinion here. When it is ready for sale plase post the relavent information here.

Dave

Dave,

It will be my pleasure to keep you posted about the glossy volume. Wait until you see Kevin's photographs of the Northwest Frontier, Zulu War and Sudan Era glossy stuff . . . he really outdid himself. His shots of the glossy Civil War sets are also outstanding.

Louis,

This is the one I would be most interested in, will there be an edition covering the matt Napoleonics etc?

Regards

Jeff

I am not quite into K&C, but this Volume (#3) on the gloss figures I may well purchase.

It also nicely covers the time periods I collect.

Cheers, Raymond.

:)

There has been a hold up but I hope to have at least a preview hard copy book, if not the final version, for Louis to take to Chicago.

Can't wait to see the finished Glossy volume. Guys, Kevin and I, with the help of co-author Larry Lo, spent a lot of time putting this one together, and I guarantee you will see photographs of virtually every K&C glossy figure from between 1984 and 1996, many of which all but the mosy diehard K&C collectors will never have seen before.:cool::cool::cool:

I will proudly show this one off in Chicago.

This and the Warbird book are the ones I really want to get.

This and the Warbird book are the ones I really want to get.

I think the first four volumes (1. Early WWII, 3. Glossy, 2. Warbirds and 4. desert warfare [released out of order]) are the key volumes for K&C collectors to have, as most of the more recent stuff is well documented. These four volumes cover earlier, often extremely limited production items, and were a labor of love to complile. When I started compiling the information for these volumes, I had never seen many of the items I was describing from old dealers price lists and old dealers dispatches (which used to be faxed, not e-mailed or posted on line), or had only seen them in old flyers. By the time the first volume was actually published, Kevin, Hans, Larry and I, with some help from Brad Lewin, Tim Tyler, Harvey Hammer, and the Nevilles, had managed to get photographs of just about every piece we described (except for the Warbirds, once we finish photography with Brad and Harvey this month, we will have photos of around 110 out of around 175 K&C warbirds from 1989 to the present).

Louis:

Sorry! I forgot to send you a picture of the wooden K&C dh98 Mosquito that I have-not the HT-E version. I will be back in town by Tuesday for a photo op and will expedite.

Hang Tough,
Marc

Thanks Marc. I am trying to schedule the final warbirds photo shoot for next Saturday. If it goes off without a hitch, the Warbirds Volume should be available before the end of the year.

cavalry.............

Those are the very early (1984) 1st British Cavalry figures K&C produced, along with one New South Wales Lances from 1988 (to the left in the background). All of the buildings are K&C regular production wood and papier mache from 1996-1998 (Great Wall Gateway and 4 Piece Fortress). There is also a Seaforth with the Kings Color (from the Last Stand of the Seaforths Set circa 1988) and an Indian Army Medic from circa 1990.

I should be receiving of a proof of the glossy volume to make final corrections any day now . . . may be able to show it off in Chicago.:)

I just finished proof-reading the Volume on K&C Glossy Production (1984-1996) and Kevin did a great job on the photography and editting. I sent him a few minor corrections, and I will be able to show off the proof this weekend in Chicago.

That's good. When do you and Kevin anticipate publication?
