K&C Book on Glossy Figures from 1984-1996 (2 Viewers)

That's good. When do you and Kevin anticipate publication?

As soon as Kevin makes the minor changes I suggested. I haven't heard back from Kevin yet, but it could be in time to be ordered via computer this week from the show.

I have entered some corrections from Lawrence, as soon as he is finished (and I have done them) I can load for publication. Good stuff so far.

I am posting to explain that there have been a few issues at my end, plus some detailed improvements on the earlier draft - although it is taking time, we are progressing and will keep you informed.

Thank you Kevin. I was just wondering. I'm sure the wait will be worth it. I just picked up one of those lancers you're showing. Should be on its way to me as we speak :)

Nice pieces Brad, I am sure that you will enjoy :D They must be rare and hard to get?

Yes, I've picked them up here and there and just got one through Ebay UK. I still need the mounted bugler however.

The minor issues were a bit more than that and I have had a few issues here, but the book is now ready for uploading to blurb and I shall try to get it done tomorrow, but certainly over the weekend. I hope there are no last minute glitches.

Kevin,

That's great! does that mean I can get my free copy at the London show two weeks tomorrow? :D

I have copied this from the Figarti thread on Figarti photos, hope this helps.

The photos for a 1/30 Figarti book are possibly 70-80% done and there are probably enough sets to fill the 160 page format I use. They are around 3-400 photos per book, usually nearer or more than 400 (glossy K&C is over 400).

This is pencilled in as possible at Vol 7 or 8.

Vol 1 is early WW2 K&C, published.

Vol 2 K&C Warbirds - Maybe by New Year or March 2010

Vol 3 Imminent - being proof read. ? this next week

Vol 4 K&C Modern Wars, Vietnam and Afghanistan etc, Maybe by New Year or March 2010

Vol 5 K&C Desert Wars, mainly WW2 and the early Crusades, photos about done. Maybe by New Year or March 2010

Vol 6 K&C Early War - German early war sets, Cavalry, SS, paras and FOB. 95% photos entered, needs text and about six sets shooting that I have not yet had access to. Maybe March 2010?

Vol 7 - ?Figarti? Need access to all the 1/30 sets and information. Would anyone be interested?

Had a few issues recently, so initial timescales have slipped, but hey, who's pushing?

Thanks very much for the information and the timelines on the K&C Volumes.

Perhaps Figarti merits to be started as a Volume 1 with the option to add on a Volume 2 and so on. Just a thought.

Raymond.

I wouldn't be interested in Figarti. They haven't been around long enough IMHO to merit a book.

Kevin,

That doesn't mean people won't be interested; I'm sure they will. Just doesn't interest me, plus I really think they need to be around a few more years to be worthy of a treatment.
