Hi,

Quick question, I thought I read somewhere that the DD051 Churchill Tank is in a different scale to the usual K&C figures, 1/32 rather than 1/30. Does anyone know if this is true and if so why?

Thanks, Chris

A lot of K&C AFV's were done in 1/32 ish scale the churchill was one of them. No idea why

Thats good to know thanks. Do you know if the newer models such as the Sherman Firefly are in 1/32 also?

Can only speak for mine, and if it is it's barely noticeable, goes just fine with the figures.

I believe they are nearer to 1/30th the models coming out now but, someone who has it could let you know for certain.

Thanks guys, would $175 be a reasonable price to pay for this model? I had one once before and only paid $110 for it but I think that was a steal rather than the norm?

looking at the conversion to GBP its a good deal for a sought after AFV

The older K&C AFVs were done to 1/32 scale because they were. No idea why. 3 or 4 years ago K&C increased the size of their AFVs to a full 1/30 scale. No idea why.

I have many of the models and have measured them for scale.

The K&C Churchill is 1/32 and looks small compared to the recent Figarti petard Churchill which is 1/30. Models of Churchill tanks are scarce - $175 is a good price for the K&C Churchill IMO. I wouldn't sell mine for anywhere near that (and it's not for sale anyway)

The Churchill at 1/30 is a big model. I would expect a price close to $300 if K&C made a new one. Figarti may make one at close to the price of their recent Churchill Petard - they just made one except for the gun difference.

The K&C Firefly is a recent model and is 1/30 scale.

I never really stopped to think if it was 1/32 or not. Just always liked it and figures go fine with it. So, if you like it, get it. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
