That is very nicely done indeed :) Thanks for posting these.

Regards

Jeff

I posted this before I saw the remaining photos, "nicely done" is an understatment to say the least  That is a truely BRILLIANT display.

How did you attach the glass together?

Jeff

Tremendous diorama and great photos! Did you build this Templar?

Hi Templar,

Astounding is the word I would choose to describe your display. I find the display and your photographs of it to be breathtaking! Congratulations on a truly superior job!

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Excellent diorama what are the dimensions of your display.

Looks great! Excellent work. The aquarium idea was a good one - Is that what you used?

Thank you all for your fine comments!

I´ll be back a.s.a.p. with answers to your questions about details etc.:)

The dimensions are L70cm x H40cm x D33cm.

Its not an aquarium - can´t hold water, but i thought of an aquarium when i planned the diorama. Instead i contacted the local glazier and asked him to make it.

It´s attached with a sort of clear epoxy glue/silicone.

As ground - sand from the local building material supplier - put on a newspapir for at least a week to dry! Very important!

At first, i went to the sea to get some sand, but this sort of sand was not suitable - too unfirm and the color too grey!

The costs - about USD 150,00.

The Towers/wall is a JG Miniature product - the bushes is from Build-a-Rama and the palms from Model Tree Shop in UK.

The palms is drilled/stuck into a sand base - also from JG Miniatures -and attached with a sort of glue which looks like chewing gum :)

The rest - placement of the figures - out of imagination, and who knows - maybe i´ll move them once in a while!

But the most positive of all - my wife thinks the dio is great and she hasn´t been too happy about my collection K&C. In fact, when it was done and i told her about my furure plans i dios, she even smiled! ;)

Hope this answers your questions - if not, please feel free to ask!

Really nice! The setup looks great! You have motivated me to do one.

What is your next project?

Ken

Templar, great shots, that display tells a whole story. It was worth the wait, great job, Mike:)

Templar the time effort and planning has paid off in more ways than one very well done. I'm sure along with others I'm looking forward to your next project......The Lt.

Here are some more pics - not of the diorama - but of figures, bought in Germany from Nowikoff.com. I think he has done a smashing job and find the figures realy great.

The two Templars on a horse are made out from the seal of the Templars - the pics are lying a bit - the crosses are realy nice done "live"!

Templar

Thanks - I wish I could figure out how to post photos better.

That little scene is what I call "Fight for the Well"

Its the Crusader Limited Dealer Figures fight some Saracens over a Dept 54 Well - its my first real diorama with these figures and I think its not too bad for a first time out with them. :)
