We've had Gordon's excellent dios and an issue of Collector packed with new goodies , K&C are off to a flyer in Chicago. Question is do we think Andy has any other surprises up his sleeve? I suspect there is something around the corner that I really am looking forward to, am just hoping we may get a glimpse of it in Chicago. Going to be very interesting over the next few days:wink2:

Rob...

With the early release of the collector before the show I would expect there to be some surprises. I think the collector was just a taster. Looking forward to pictures coming through

Well Rob I do not need any more surprises from K&C as I have plenty already and the next big surprise will be for my Bank when I pay for the multiples in latest LOJ figures. Cheers, Robin.

Me too Mitch, Chicago is always such a highlight along with the Westcoaster and London. There seems to be a real buzz about K&C at the moment, what with the new collector issue , Gordon's work , the Typhoon etc. As you say, can't wait to see the pics.

I agree with this

You guys are by far seasond veterans in K&C affairs compared to me, a simple rookie, but in my 3 1/2 years following their steps I'm confident there will be surprises left for this weekend. This is at the soul of the business and of waht I percieve are Andy's and Gordon's style from the time I've been following thier footprints so IMHO there is no way K&C will miss the spotlight to their smaller competitors, who will for sure be making new releases there. I'm holding my breath, expecting surprises, even after what I saw yesterday on the Collector's magazine...

Bulge Jeep
Two Walking Bulge GI's
Bomb disposal Tilly
Officer with bomb and Sgt
Two Policemen
Tommy helping Luftwaffe pilot
RAF figure in shirt sleeves

Rob...just wondering whether we got a glimpse of that "something" you were looking forward to (the BOB BF109 maybe?), or if whatever you were thinking of is still under wraps. I'm hoping there's still a surprise coming, if not this weekend, than this year.

I have to stay that with the Collector and the sneak peaks posted here this week, there didn't really seem to be any big news or new items out of Chicago from K&C, especially relative to manufacturers like Figarti. Don't get me wrong, I think the Stug looks great, as does the BF109 and the EOD set. If there's a summer or AK version of the German armored car that will be nice too, and of course further confirmation of Eastern Front (which I assume means Russian) figures and the long awaited Chinese Junk are welcome.

Am I the only who feels that the Chicago products/news were a bit anti-climactic, though?

Maybe I just feel that way b/c we're spoiled with K&C offering monthly releases, where other manufacturers reveal the equivalent amount of new product once or twice a year.

I don't want to complain, I'm hoping this will give me time to catch up on the many great things I'd like to add to my collection (once I make room for them). But I'm curious if you are aware of more things coming that Andy hasn't revealed yet.

Hey Mark, it was the Bomb disposal sets I was really looking forward too. For me this Chicago has thrown up plenty of smaller K&C releases that very much appeal to my area of collecting. Lots of figures and smaller vehicles that Ivan use in several different scenarios so I am very pleased. I also like the Stug but that may have to wait until I have all the smaller items. Sorry you feel it was an anti climax Mark, but I hope there was something in there for you. I think the final three Dispstches this year could be packed with some very interesting items.

Cheers

Rob
