Just as I was about to wrap it up late Saturday afternoon I stumbled into Kings X room at the hotel. I had not been in that room as it just opened Saturday. Well the first thing I saw were 3 of the Kings X special edition figures, the U.S. trooper (John Wayne look a like), Wild Bill Hickock and the Texas Ranger.
At first I was not even going to ask if they were available for purchase as when I was in San Antonio for that show I asked and got a flat out "NO".
But I asked any way and to my surprise he said yes they were for sale at $35. Needless to say I bought all three and he even sold me the U.S. trooper ( Henry Fonda look a like) that he had in the back room.
Just one of the high lites of the show this year.

Gary,

Sounds like you got some good pickups. How else did you do. Did you go to the show today or head back before.

Congratulations on the get. I would love to have the Wayne and Fonda figures. -- Al

just a side note gary, after you left as you know i was next and the guy the owns gettysburg toy soldier just butted in a took the last john wayne and hickok figures . i couldn't believe it. but martin took care of me on an order. great looking figures

I wish KingsX would make those figures available to everyone.

Martin, he is the manager of Kings X, and one nice guy, said that he was selling the figures just as a show special, however he was meeting with Andy later that evening to discuss possibly selling them to the general public as he had such a great response at the show.

I would be interested in getting at least the Fonda figure if they were a decent price. Of course, those people who have paid some serious loot for them in the past may be none too happy.

I would definately get the Wayne and Fonda.Reminds me of the enjoyment I had as a kid watching those movies.

I hope they do, I would love to have any of them.

Here are some photos that I think you are refering to
First one is Pancho Villa and I am guessing Lt Patton
2nd photo is Wild Bill Hickock (picked all 3 of these up at the Chicago Shw)
3rd one is the gift figure from the K&C Dinner Friday night at the Show sponsored by Sierra, Tree Frog and Tim........WWI English Soldier

Hope this helps

Kings X is a great K&C retailer with whom I've had excellent buying experiences. Asked for items not on the website, and they checked their warehouse and found and sold to me:D:D:D

Sometimes slow in answering emails, but shipping after purchase very quick and phone help very courteous and pleasant. Glad some folks here steered me their way.

They have some great figures of actors from the trilogy of cavalry of John Ford.

In a future release new roughriders and spanish in action?
