Guys

Heard from Andy that we are getting some French Cavalry this year.
I m really looking forward to that.

Since Kronprinz just released Hussars, and from my observation the toy soldier industry produces cohorts of similar types by various companies within a short period of time...

I am guessing K&C will release some French Hussars this year. I hope they wear shako instead of bearskin hats, coz previously Bearskin hats have been released.

In the Je Suis Charlie thread there were 2 french Chasseurs Cheval with bearskins in the picture.

My money is on new hussars, although I wouldn't mind seeing new dragoons or lancers.
Cheers,
Brendan

Just like these ... with interchangeable mounts and plug in plumes, please :salute::

A little bird from Hong Kong told me at the Chicago show to expect some Hussars later this yr. :wink2: Chris

Although I'd certainly like some hussars in action, I'd also like some figures in camp-scenes or behind the lines.

Figures cleaning horses and other kit, smoking, drinking , eating and talking would all be versatile pieces for Napoleonic dioramas!

Brendan

Unfortunately, I do not collect the Lighthorse series ... but I am really interested on collectors's feedback on K&C's interchangable mounts and troopers. Do the riders sit securely and firmly ? ... perhaps a touch of glue is needed ?

Meanwhile K&C has the opportunity to "stretch" it's investment on its existing mounted French Grenadiers, Cuirassiers or British Guards cavalry ... K&C could expand the number of existing sets by offering collectors "interchanged & slightly re colored" mounts for the generic troopers (excluding the officer, bugler and flag bearer).

For the average Nap collector, the wider the charging line or the longer the column the better {sm4}

What say fellow collectors ?

Hi Guys,

K&C are releasing more Napoleonics this year and they do include French Cavalry...Particularly one regiment to begin with. The sculpting work has been almost completed and I’m looking forward to getting the sculpts cast and “master-painted”.

A wee bit down-the-line I’ll be able to give you more info. In the meantime many thanks for your interest and...happy collecting!
