Re: "Jetties & Bridges"

My goodness, so many directions all at once. I thought it was difficult to collect land soldiers, then armour, then support vehicles, then different eras then....... Now we're moving on to conquer the sea and air? Then bridges, jetties, buildings, civilians, then........... What is a poor collector to do, soon I'll be in the poor house as I have no self control.
Seriously though, wonderful directions and I like what I see. I'm sure I'll be picking and choosing items from these new directions to support my collection. Great work K&C.

I couldn't have said it any better. So many new choices......

I doubt it is an E-Boat. Figarti has been there and done that. Besides the E-boat is big. My guess is something from Dunkirk for the FOB range. Size limits the possibilities. The German mini-subs could also be a long shot. Salamander?

I disagree C man,

Look at post # 26. This looks like an S-7 type E-Boot. Figarti's, E-Boat was a full hull offering and this K & C version is a water line version, which would make it very Dio manageable. I think the Jetty is about 18", and the E-boat's bow to the start of the bridge is just about covering the Jetties length. Going by that, this E-boat looks right for a 1/30 lenght of 42".

Also 3 of these Type S-7's E-Boots were sold to China

The only thing I can pick on is the Bow Rake has to much angle. It should be about 80 degrees and not the 60 degrees shown

Cheers,
Paul

Great idea UK, you could always save up for the Figarti version if K & C don't make it, but personally I prefer the later E-boat with the covered tubes. Btw, "The Eagle has Landed" is one of my favourites and included some excellent actors including Caine.

I agree Oz the later E-boats are a lot nicer , I'm looking at using 1/35th ITALERI SCHNELLBOOT TYPE S100 for a diorama as for me the Figarti E -boat is out of my price range :(
I will post a photo of a 1/72 late E boat made for me last week as a taster ;)
I only live five miles from the village where the film The Eagle has landed was made

Good idea, I have also seen a 1/35 railway gun in hobby shops that looks like the Figarti K5 biggie. I would like to get the Figarti versions, but freight, import duty and exchange rates etc are against me atm.

How high does the price get before some more of you try your hand at building your own? ;)

Prost!
