I reiterate: those paras are some tough hombres! I would not want to be trying to cock a spring loaded PIAT while German armor was spewing machine gun bullets and high explosive projectiles in my general direction.

My little knowledge of the difficulties of cocking a PIAT (Proctor Infantry Anti Tank) comes from reading George MacDonald Frasier's description of using one is his fantastic autobiographic account of his time in Burma, "Quartered Safe Out Here" (the title borrowed from Kipling).
