K&C Special Forces: Afghanistan (1 Viewer)

Hello all.

I'm looking for the following two pieces to complete my K&C Special Forces collection.

SF03 Humvee with Rangers and (I believe?) Captured Insurgent
SF11 Afghan Cave Complex

It's a buyer's market with so many people selling off portions of their collection, but I know they are rare, retired sets and promise to make a deal worth your while. EDIT: previously displayed sets in good condition will be considered.

Please PM me if you or anyone you know is interested.

*I'll very likely be at the West Coast Toy show (and definitely if someone with either of those figures plans on attending), where I can pay cash.

(Speaking of which...might it not be a good idea for people who plan on attending to mention which figures they are looking for in the show forum so retailers have a better idea what to bring?)

Depending upon how this goes...I may post a separate classified for Figarti modern and Vietnam era figures

Sounds like you managed to track down an SF02 set. Nice work, it's a great set. I'm afraid I can't help with the SF03 or cave complex, as those are the 2 I'm missing as well. Not too concerned about the cave complex, but would like to get hold of the Humvee at a relatively reasonable price. The one Tom was selling last week went for just a bit too much for me, especially since the pound has taken such a hammering. Good luck with the hunt!

Hi Mark,
you just missed my duplicate! I unfortunately had only 2 and only have one of the Cave or I would be happy to help you out. Keep an eye out on ebay, that one is crazy, I put it on at a price I would accept taking into account the fees to be paid. I have seen it go for as little as 100 (a buyer who didn't know what it was at buy it now) and as high as $500, so just keep watching, patience will pay off.

Another suggestion, have you looked at the Figarti Humvees? I really like them and they are way cheaper!!!

Wish I'd have seen that one.
I like the Figarti Humvees (got one of each) although they are a bit underscale for the K&C troops IMO. That said, great detail, photoetch and all, and the price here on TF is a steal.

Thanks Simon. Without jinxing it looks like I'm about to close on the cave complex.

I had my eye on a SF03 Humvee for about a week which was going for $325 (auction, not buy it now) on ebay. There were no bidders, so I thought I'd wait it out until the auction closed and then make the seller a lower offer. But at the last minute someone came in and bid the $325. I thought it might be the seller, but when I contacted him and asked if he had any other he didn't.

P.S. Thanks in general for you advice as a fellow modern soldier fan. I think so far I've been most impressed with Figarti. It seems like their Iraq and Vietnam figures are becoming almost as scarce as K&C Special Forces, but at least they are continuing.

I tend to add 10% to my opening bid on ebay compared to what I would accept to cover the selling fees. SO, for instance, I would have sold that one for $300, ebay $325. That was my only duplicate unfortunately or would have gladly sold it to you.

Ah well...there weren't many points of reference for me on price as the special forces figures are so rare. I thought with the economy I might be able to get a bargain, but I'm glad that if you had to part with such a nice set you got a fair price.

If anyone else has a K and C humvee set they are looking to sell, I'll be willing to match Tom's price.
