I just got my new SL Nappy Set yesterday and I was thrilled with the set! Wow! This is by far my favorite K&C set I have. I threw together a quick dio last night, about 30 minutes, to see how they would look with some other stuff. Here are the results.

On the eve of battle........

This looks very very nice, especially for something you just threw together!!! That new tent set is very attractive.

GREAT SET UP! I really like how you have the Grenadiers marching away from the viewer. Seems to make it a very real, life like display and shows the beautiful detail of the backs of these figures.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought but surely we cannot be expecting the dispatches so soon. Just kidding. That is a lovely set up.

Damian

Very very nice for a 30 minute set up time. Thank you very much for sharing the pictures.

When I was thinking of how to display the French Guard, I thought what better way than to show them the way the British infantry saw them the most.:D

Thank you all for you kind comments.

Uh oh, Darrell - expect incoming for that last comment. :p

Great dio - the lighting is especially well done.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR !

That's awesome Darrel.

I see you have the French Farm House & Court Yard Sets.

The K&C Diorama Sets are nice pieces of art in themselves. They can be used in more than one era setting, and you used yours here to perfection.

Not trying to Hijack your thread, Darrel.

But do you think there's room for more and new Diorama Set from K&C. I mean their few and far between, and Darrel's Dio is very inspiring ;)

Come on Andy, new collectors need some more ( Diorama ) inspiration material.

As Darrel has shown, the new Emperor's Set does that well :)

Hey Paul,

These two sets are the most flexible I have ever seen or owned. I have posted quite a few pictures on this forum of the various layouts I have done with the farmhouse and courtyard. I always use that same spot on my book cabinets and I have used several different configurations that have worked really well. I will not be parting with either of these. I think it will be hard for Andy to come up with another diorama piece that is so flexible, but I am open to any new releases. I would like to see some type of fortification along this line.

I really like that dio......This is a good example of how to display your collection and you dont have to spend a lot of time or $$ in doing so. Very cool.

Evening all;
I agree, that display is really nice.

The thing that I notice the most with the "GREAT" displays (on the Treefrog web site and others) is "LIGHTING" and "Lack of Crowding".

I suspect that we all have limited space (at least I do) so the tendency is to put as much into the dio as there is room. But the dim lighting and the open areas give it a more professional look. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to build better dioramas!!
