This topic has been mentioned on another thread regarding the proposed new exclusive from K&C UK; now that the (excellent imho) Crimean War range has come to a close what do collectors think the new range will be?

Rob and I have on many occasions discussed the various possibilities, English Civil War and Indian Mutiny spring to mind.

Answers on a postcard……….:)

Btw, Tony is more than welcome to pipe up and put us out of our misery. ;)

K&C UK New Exclusive Range – What is it?

It's a new and exclusive range from K&C UK, but that's not important right now. LN - RIP.

You know it's going to be modern forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mainly due to the desert camo as a result of the world wide shortage of green paint required for other periods. :)

Indian Mutiny, Boer War, English Civil, any of those would be very nice. Maybe at the June show we will get a glimpse?????.Hopefully Tony will see this tommorow and give us a hint;)

Anyone else get their UK membership pack, apparently theres another issue coming soon.

Rob

Rob,

So what do you think, grey undercoated masters on display at the June show? I think it only fair that we collectors should be given the nod asap so we can get the spacing between shelves correct, I would hate to damage any pikes etc. ;)

Jeff

I think there might be a high probability that it will be something English. So I'm going to guess that it will involve the best decision by English military forces ever which would be the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. The range of figures with the redcoats laying down arms to Americans could be amazing.

Keep it silly

It would be nice Jeff, lets hope Tony reads this and takes pity on us poor, loyal, good looking, deserving, favourite collectors and tells us when we may get a glimpse;)

For wishful thinking I'm going to say Marlborough and the boys from Blenheim.
Somebody has to make these dudes some day.

For all the MK collectors i think the Scottish war of indepedance .That i would collect ,you could have a wooden bridge for the battle of Stirling bridge and long wooden spikes for shiltrems (hope i spelt it right)for Falkirk and Bannockburn:D:D

More chance of Marlburians than more AWI. Colourful and varied uniforms and as you say nobody makes these yet.

I agree that this would be a great series. So many other possible series - English civil war, Gandamak, Afghan wars, Sudan, Boer war, homeguard, Faulklands, WW2 Commandos, Burma, Royal Navy (18th century)..........

This is, of course, assuming that an exclusive K&C UK series would feature British regiments........

I'm sure it's already signed and sealed though. Any clues Tony?

I have heard it will be famous TS collectors of the 21st century and will be based on the collecting habits and Treefrog posts over the past 10 years. There will be a Rob figure, a Louis Badolato figure, a Tom Dubel figure, a Jazzeum figure, and many more. There will be some scenic environments too, such as the pub at the London show.

They are being designed by Andy who has vowed to use his imagination on these. I wonder what the Vezzolf and Harry figures will look like? :D

Terry

Probably, not in scale the wrong colour way and not realistic enough. Should provoke immense debate lol

I hope Andy does use his imagination, especially when putting Hair on my figure:eek:;)

Fools! The Harry figure has been done already and it is brilliant (see attached). :)

I guess you don't know everything after all Terry.

Jeff,

yes, I'd love to see soldiers from the early 18th century... that would be brilliant!!!

Following that I'd like to see other battles from that century that haven't been already covered such as the 7 Years War and the Battle of Minden.

They could then have opposing troops from France & Saxony and allies : Hanoverians, Hessians and Prussians

VERY colourful :)

That is a very nice figure Dave, got to be one of the best club figures released.

Rob

Hi guys

nothing signed and sealed yet.............and of course with all the talk of cutting back in buying etc........do we do it?

As you all know to do a special means the figures etc will have to be higher than any normal RRP so in the current climate is it a good commercial idea?

regards

Tony

Considering all of the criticisms and demands heeped upon Andy by myself and certain of the others listed in your post, I am pretty sure that Andy would depict us with a figure of him kicking us in the butt!:D:rolleyes:
