Just wanted to review some of the superb WW2 Aircraft K&C have released since they started producing Polystone planes. It's been a great sub range as it were and finally someone has given us some of the most famous and effective fighters of that conflict and not to mention a plethora of ground and support figures for the RAF USAAF and Luftwaffe. Its another string to the bow for K&C and for me another reason why they are Number 1.;

You have a few now don't you Neil? I thought I'd not get into these, but couldn't help myself! ^&cool

When K&C got into airplanes I was very excited and to date I have not been disappointed. They are the quality I expect. To date I've got the BOB Spit, BOB Me-109, and P-40. The Typhoon is still on my list. Some planes I look forward to seeing in the future include a Japanese Zero ( classic silver ), Red Baron's Triplane, Billy Bishop's Camel, and a P-51 in aluminum colour with D-Day stripes. I'd probably even buy a Stuka if there are any left after being gobbled up by our forum members! {sm5} To date I think the USAAF is under represented and that needs to be rectified. :cool:

Nice list there CFM. So far I have the Spitfire, Hurricane, FW190 (first version that is still in my view the best Luftwaffe plane K&C have released) Typhoon , and now the forthcoming Spit on order. Still to get the Desert and crashed ME109's.

Hey Guy, yes space is a problem right now. But my much much better half has agreed in principle to at some point turning the garage into my hobby room which I'm pretty excited about. So until that day I'll have to just have one or two on show at a time and store the others until the airfield in my garage is built one day.

At five he's a mere piker ^&grin

I have three of the K & C polys, the Figarti Me 110, three of the old style K & C wooden warbirds and seven of the new style K & C wooden warbirds.

I also have a Desert Hurricane and Beaufighter from Motion Models and a JJ WW I plane.

Compared to the likes of Louis and Larry, I'm a mere piker myself {eek3}

I have always loved planes. K&C got the ball rolling with the Hurricane. Now, I have both versions, plus the BOB Spitfire, Mustang, BOB 109, crashed 109, P-40 and first FW190. I have ordered the D-Day Spit. The damage was greater than that though. I have the Figarti ME-110 and Lightning and am awaiting the Stuka. I also have 3 JJD WWI planes so far and ordered a K&C Albatros. My greatest desires at this point for WWII would be a silver Mustang and a Zero, but I would also be game for any small to medium bombers.

I have twelve from across the board. surprisingly, more being from WWI. I have to say that the best looking aircraft for me so far in terms of K&C is the Tommahawk

I am only a beginner on collecting the planes. For WW2 I have only Rommel's Taxi. I do have all of the WWI planes however.

All of the planes are dynamite!! Just only so much time and so much room!! They are harder to hide from wives!

Yes, the 3 downsides of planes - space, money, and wives. Honestly though, it is impossible to hide anything from my wife.

Not to usurp Rob's cool thread but actually my wife has really changed on the subject recently. Since I added the HK wedding party and one of the new dragon boats to a guest room she said...well..."pretty cool". But when she saw the winter diorama, my first real all out diorama, she is like all into it now!!! The grand kids KINGSX cowboy little display sealed it!!

So make dioramas with the assistance of all the great artists on the forum and momma will see what we buy all of these. I think she needed to see it was not just going to be more clutter in her view.

Now make the Pink Panther KC, before she changes her mind!!!:D^&grin

That's quite some collection my friend, as well as all the K&C aircraft Figarti's ME110 is a superb model.

Terrific looking aircraft Mitch, was about to launch my RAF expedition to North Africa when Andy announced the new Spit and plans changed.

I have two WW2 German aircraft, the Marseille 109, and the FW190A. These are excellent aircraft and I would have many more had KC and JJD not started on my favorite subject, WW1 aviation. I have two of the KC Albatros, the von Richthofen and Voss versions. Love them both, but really like the paint job on the Voss version. I also own 10 JJD canvas falcons and one brass model made by Dawn Patrol. I am running out of room, as many others are. The aircraft are my favorite but do take up lots of shelf space. -- Al

Great thread Rob!

I have the 2 Hurricanes to fit in with my RAF figures and vehicles. They are good but later paint jobs from K&C are much improved IMO. Nice pieces though. I thought about the Spits, but had so many other pieces from various ranges on my wish list.

When the WW1 warbirds were announced, I was really thrilled as WW1 and, in particular, the air war, is my favourite military period of interest. They didn't disappoint in the flesh either! I have the MVR and Voss Albatrosses, was tempted by the Goering plane, but funds were not endless. Then the DVII's were announced and I had to have them too. All 3 was too extravagant, so I picked the Auffarth green and the Jacobs black (after all, by now I had a red Albatross!)

I'm really tempted by both the new Albatrosses, but am struggling to understand the jump in price vs. the first three.... My other criticism would be K&C releasing so many together has meant maybe losing a few sales from me, as I can't buy them all. But, hey, they will all sell out so that's business I suppose. The Udet Albatross will have to be next - the kids will just have to go hungry (joking, before anyone contacts Childline!)

I just love the new WW1 aviation range. This has prompted me to look at a few other manufacturers, like JJD. Although very good, I think I'll stick to K&C but their WW1 hangers, shown at the London show, are 'must haves' for me and will go well with all the K&C planes and ground crew.

I know we're talking planes, not figures, but the latest German ground crew figures are simply stunning. I for one, hope that this new range within the WW1 range goes on and on.....

I collect about 8 K&C ranges and love them all, but there have been three ranges that quite literally took my breath away, and they are:

1. Crimea
2. RAF
3. WW1 aviation

Wouldn't life be boring if we all liked the same things?

Hey Jameson, thanks for posting. Sounds like an excellent aviation collection you have there and it really would be boring if we all collected the same thing wouldn't it, variety is the spice and all that!

Cheers

I have just the Hurricane and Spitfire and a few figures (scenic items from JG Miniatures) It's all Rob's fault! :rolleyes2: ^&grin
