K&C's World of Ancient Greece range! (1 Viewer)

Chasbo,
You may wish to note the K&C Roman range would have been created about 10 years ago. Like Breslau I would be interested to know who the top of the line are if you are referring to a Greek range.

Personally I hope it is not Troy but Greeks v Persians. Will be colourful.

Regards
Brett

Brett mate,
Ditto to that. As a large Aussie collector I also would wish to know who the top of the line are. I must be missing out on something from my Dealer.^&grin
Cheers Howard

Think K&C would have to improve their sculpts before attempting this category, if not the figures would end up like the Romans they did a few years back.Collectors are always willing to put out the extra scratch for quality and they'd be up against the top of the line here.{sm2}

If there as bad as the Romans a few years back im going to find it hard to not buy them..................^&confuse^&confuse^&confuse

Whoops, sorry guys. Recently recieved some Russian Romans, that cost a fortune.
They must've hired Rodin's apprentice to make the sculpts. everything was right about the figures, the weight distribution, the movement, armor and colors, the physiques, you could say I was having a *** epoch. Very impressed by what they did.
Got to see the K&C romans when our area was lucky enough to still have a dealer close by, something about them just didn't appeal to me, apologize for offense.
Like a good deal of what K&C has put out and enjoy reading your comments.

Couple thoughts-----

- "top of the line" - I would assume he would mean the St. Pete Greeks- though at different price points. St. Pete's Greeks are superb but priced in the stratosphere. I believe KC can pull off this range just fine. FWIW- I have always contended that Ancient Greece is the poor man's St. Pete collection as there aren't the expensive mounted figures to contend with. If a collector really wanted to do a St. Pete collection, Ancient Greece was it.

- KC Romans- I passed on them both times they came out. Heart really wasn't into ancient Rome then like it is now. I did acquire some KC Romans recently in a trade and they are very nice. At $21/a piece they were a steal. Now, they are in the $50-$60 range on the 'bay. That puts them in the FL league pricewise- ok. Either way, I was good with them, I am good without them,.

- So, who's taking bets KC Does a facade of the Greek Parthenon?? I gotta believe that will be a sight to behold.

I hope too it will be Greeks vs Persians, or Alexander the Great (or Syracuse vs Athens..)..Troy it's too much mythical and speculative for my tastes..so why not ancient Greece Myths?
