Hey guys:

I know there is some interest in King Country's the west series. I was at Stockade Miniatures over the weekend. The owner, Mike Russo, has the first 35 figures of the set (I am assuming this is the "original issue" ) for sale at $2,200. He says he has all the boxes. Admittedly, I don't really know what I was looking at- he had mounted indians, cavalry, a bunch of foot troops and four buffalos.

If interested, give him a call 570-424-8507.

I see these figures every time I go into his shop. Mike Rosso is a very nice guy and good friend. I live about 10 miles or so away so im their regularly.

That is a little high. NOT horrible, just high.

Most MTD Indians are the expensive ones around $75 and up, but if patient, $75.

Standing Indians can be quite high to reasonable.

Custer is expensive always.

My opionion on the Calvary - standing ones can be had for $25-30 figure. $40 max.

The Mounted Calvary can be as cheap as $35 to $50.

On this set, if you have patience, you can put it together relatively cheaply.

NOW, if you have to have it all now, Mike's price of 2200 isn't awful coming in around $65/ piece .

I don't follow prices that actively anymore but I sold a mounted Indian on ebay late last year and it went for only $35 (to Howard as it turns out) :)

I guess if you have the $2,200 sitting around, go for it.

Chris - Do you think Russo would trade any of his The West figures for other boxed new condition K&C? I have for trade EA003 Australian Attack, and SF01 Freedom Fighters, SF02 Captured Bin Laden, and SP011 Afghan Cave Complex.
