The new line looks nice but not interested in the military history of Denmark.

Personally I think this is a bit of a Random choice of Range?^&confuse

The figures look ok but again it's just parade figures, and they generally look the same no matter what range/era/war?

Just my thoughts?

Scott,
Trying looking at it from the point of view that you were the Danish K&C dealer and those figures are an iconic Danish thing that many locals and tourists would relate to (comparable to the Guards outside Buckingham Palace). In addition the fact they are parade figures means people likely to buy them in multiples.

Nothing random at all but good business by the Danish dealer. Hopefully that helps give a different perspective.

Brett,

How about you taking it like you are a collector and not a dealer?

How would you vote on the poll....oh you did not vote did you.

Ludwig,
In view of your PM to me a few minutes ago, this post and the dealer thread you have just started one might think you are trying to start something{sm4}. Happy to debate you anytime.

I do collect and am a dealer. I did not vote becuase I would not buy these figures for myself. As regards me being a dealer in this thread I have no personal interest in the series as I understand the series was commissioned by the K&C Danish dealer and will be exclusive to him.

At the time of this post 9 say going to buy these figures and 42 say no. My reply to Scott was merely to point out that the series is very specific to the Danish dealer and is far from random to him.

Just because some people do not like a series or subject does not mean it should not be done. I am guessing the Danish dealer anticipates this series will do well and help grow his customer base. I think the Danish dealer and K&C will do well with this series and I wish them the best of luck.

I note you indicated you are buying it so not sure what your point is. All I did was say it was not a random decision to start this series.

Hope that helps clarify my position.

Brett

That's a bit full on and confrontational isn't it mate? I always thought that the poll posts were not just a YES / NO thread, but also an opportunity to discuss the subject in question? If that's the case... and based on every poll thread that I can see, it is, then surely Brett's comment is valid?

When I first saw these, I liked them and it is something that I'd consider, but I did wonder what the market for this subject may be. As the poll numbers appear to be indicating, the majority of forum users who have responded are probably not going to buy them. But so what? We can only ASSUME that we are a good representative sample of K&C's market although Andy has indicated from time to time that whilst he listens to what we say, we do not necessarily represent a majority view. And as his business appears to be going from strength to strength I suspect that he has a much better idea of his business, where the market is and what is likely to sell than we do, no matter how much we'd like to think otherwise.

So, what Brett says makes sense and goes some way to answer the question I had about why? I for one did not know that there was a K&C dealer in Denmark, but if there is... then this does make sense.

cheers

Ludwig,
I have bowed to your considerable influence and voted as a collector (if that is OK with you). However I voted no and I note you voted yes so I do not know if my vote was good or bad or biased or unbiased.

However if these are available to dealers I would get some in stock as there are some who will probably buy them.

Perhaps it is lucky Polls do not decide what gets made or not.

Hope that helps.

Incidentally I note your friend Vladimir has not been on the forum for while. I do hope he is well.

Brett, that is an excellent point, and you remind me of a set of figures, also produced by K&C if I am not mistaken, of either Hong Kong post office workers, or maybe it was PLA troops, or maybe both. I think they were produced specifically for sale in Hong Kong. Of course, my memory may be incorrect, but I think Brad/jazzeum had these and posted them. Upshot is, yes, these should be great sellers in Denmark among tourists visiting the country, very good point!

Prost!

I hope a danish series...even if i don 't you a lot about danish army...

but i hope that we can buy esaely this set....
where can we buy it??

As most all of K&C works they look very nice, but with a limited number of $$$ to spend I will be sticking closer to my focus series.
So I won't be getting any Danish, except for maybe lemon or raspberry pastries. {sm2}

Okay, it was a bit weak but I haven't had lunch yet!

Brad,

I think it was the post office workers because they were sold through the Post Office whereas the PLA was available to collectors generally.
