Yes, I have seen it before, but not in person; I believe I saw it separately on eBay and at an on-line auction site several years ago. I am trying to remember who made it. It seems like it was originally offered by Max Schulman's Pageantry Products (long gone) as a set made by STE or something similar.

I recall seeing it too and it was STE. Doubt too many were produced since it was a pricey set

Search the forum for "kennedy", and you should find a thread from 2009, I think it was, shortly after I joined. We discussed this very set. I think the other Brad, jazzeum, was also familiar with it. I think we were able to establish who made the set. There might be photos of it, too. I think there was a box up on eBay at the time, if I remember correctly.

Prost!

You're in Laurys Station? Holy cow, we're practically neighbors! I'm in Bethlehem. Welcome to the forum!

Baron, that is pretty cool. I am glad to be on the forum. Finding this set would be great. I appreciate all the help. how do we search back to 2009?

I've seen it. It was in a toy soldier store in Chester, NJ (where I live), no longer in business. However, I know the person who has the molds.

Brad, do you remember the thread we had on this set? I've been trying to find it. I'm pretty certain that there was one, with a photo of the set and its box. I want to say that it came up on eBay and someone asked about it.

Prost!

A very nice set considering what it is covering

In addition to being Thanksgiving, today is the 49th anniversary of the JFK assassination. Next year will be a big event. It would be interesting to see something done in toy soldier land for the 50th anniversary.

If anyone is interested, the person who has the rights to the set will sell unpainted castings for 400.

Please pm me if interested.

The saddest set of toy style soldiers since the American slave market set.

As I have mentioned previously, I had access to the castings that remained to this set made by STE Ltd. as the President of STE has retired.

Zach Lang saw my postings and contacted me and Michael DeMarco, a professional painter, and friend of the President of STE agreed to paint the set, which was painted in matte. I acted as intermediary between Mike and Zach as I'm a good friend of Mike's.

Mike finished painting the set a few weeks ago and I shipped them to Zach. Zach has now had a chance to take photos and he posted the photos in the "What Toy Soldiers Have You Acquired in the Last Two Weeks Thread," http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/fo...uired-in-The-Last-2-Weeks&p=585211#post585211, which I have copied and are set forth below.

There is only one full set of castings left and I have been contacted by a forum member about them and Mike is now getting ready to paint them.

As you can see, Mike has done a fantastic job. However, I'm biased as Mike is a friend and an excellent painter. He also does repairs and has done repairs for me as well as other forum members.

I can say enough how impressed I am with the painting of these. I should take a close up, but the entire flag (that the flag bearer is carrying) is hand painted and is incredible. I was expecting it to be a printed flag, but, nope, hand painted and gorgeius. The detail on the soldiers metals and insignias are is also fantastic. I have some figures that I was waiting to have repaired from other sets that I never knew what to do with. I will now absolutely send them off to Mike for repair.

Thanks again to Brad who acted as the go between. There was no benefit to him, other than just being a great guy and making a fellow collector thrilled!

That is a well-done set, thanks for sharing the photos, Brad.

Prost!
