Khartoum Sets Arrived Yet? (3 Viewers)

Hi Jeff,
if you don't mind, could you put the Gordon Figure next to one of your Britains figures, maybe a standing 24th Foot figure, and make a photo?
The sculpting on this JJ set seems to be a little more "thinner".

Really looks great Jeff But I'm sticking to my guns and not starting any other range until I catch up and finish the BOS range. They way it's starting out with some great new ranges and the new year not here yet god only knows what great ranges is will be coming out in 2010.Looks like a win win for us.:D:D:D

Mark...like you....I really do like this set...

but I will use my "amazing willpower" to avoid it....

I will concentrate on his other series...

Jeff...you take really nice pictures...very crisp!:D

Konrad told me tonight that between this morning and 7 PM, 10 of the 11 Sudan sets at TF were already sold!

Just got home from work to find the box with my set sitting on the back deck! I'm one happy fella!! My mind's reeling with ideas for this and the next three sets!! Thanks John Jenkins for another great series!!

Today I received my set and just want to add along with the other comments, that I am very pleased with it.
Very well done figures and easy and perfect fitting of the Madhists on the steps.
Very happy that I got it.

I received my Gordon at Khartoum set yesterday and I am very pleased with it. This is my first John Jenkins set and probably won't be my last if he continues with the Sudan theme.
I would like to see him slim down the firearms a bit. The revolver in Gordon's hand while sculpted well seems a bit large as well as the Martini-Henry held by the highlander.
I can't say enough about the Mahdists figures. They are very well done and match up great with the Britains figures.
Looking forward to the Hadendoa, highlanders, marines and sailors....with a Gatling or Gardner!

Got my first look at it today in a local shop. Very nice. Sudan fans will be pleased. I think it would benefit the overall display to have at least one add on piece to the balcony. I can't remember if that is something John said he would do - but completing the arch and maybe having the door behind Gordon would do wonders. Anyone know if John plans something like that?

The second half of the arch way would be an easy reproduction...for John or for the proud owner...it would be so easy to make from scratch.

I received my Gordon set today. Looks great - sorry for the dark picture. I do think these figures are slighter than the other JJ figures. They should go fine with Britains.

I actually like the nocturnal look.

What a great set! The Dervish warriors figures fit in perfectly along steps. Nicely planned. Looking forward to future additions to the range.

Here is a comparison pic between Gordon and a Jacobite. The Gordon figure looks a bit slighter:

Gordon really seems to be in some trouble now with the Jan. release:
