King and Country - OSTN 2008 Show Pictures (1 Viewer)

Nice one Carlos. Those are some cracking shots. Unfortunately, it now means I'm going to be pennyless for the rest of my life. Gordon's dios are superb, more so when you see the level of detail close up. Great work all round!

Cheers
Simon

Great photos Carlos. First class job on taking pictures of the new releases and dioramas by Gordon. I enjoyed visiting with you at the show. Leadmen

Carlos,

Superb job. Some of the best photos I've seen so far.

Thanks for giving us a look at what we missed!
Very, very good angles and close ups

Wow now I really have to save my nickles and dimes to go to next year's show.

NO Wait, I have to go buy all the new KC stuff. Decisions, Decisions. I don't see a win-win here. Help?

Thanks Carlos! I was telling Maddicus that someone would be posting some great pics when they got home. I was not disappointed:) Very nice work by Gordon. He just keeps getting better. I wonder if they are going to have dio building classes? Maybe a K&C Dio Building Book!

Super photos!!!! You did a great job of showing just how nice the pieces are and giving us ideas of just how they might look in our own dioramas. I loooooove the Tiger and Sherman. Man, that boat is big!!. Thanks very much.

What would be your guess on the size of the USS SAN PUEBLO? WOuld you say about 32 inches by 18 inces? Or bigger? I want to know!

Thanks for posting the pictures Carlos, absolutely superb shots, very kind of you to go to the trouble for us.

Rob

Gordon told me it is 30" long.:)

Hmmm, but the model would need to be 42" long to be a reasonable replica of the boat in the movie. When you take 12" off that length, say from the middle, all you end up with is a model that looks more like a Tug Boat.

I guess that would be ok if you only collect glossy toy soldiers and weren't to concerned about accuracy. However I suspect that even the less discerning collector would balk at paying to much money for it.

Rather than the specific USS San Pablo/Pueblo why don't K & C make a model of a smaller generic boat that could be used in a variety of ranges around that era?

Whoops, it gets worse as I miscalculated there. The San Peublo had a length of 150' and divide that by 30 you get a model of 5' long. Therefore the K & C model at 30 inches is only HALF the required length of 60 inches that it should be to represent the actual San Peublo in 1/30 scale
