King and Country Rare version Grey Opel Blitz (1 Viewer)

Did you repaint it yourself?

It was part of a huge collection that I bought to a Spanish guy some years ago, I never found any trace of repaint on any figure or vehicle on that collection, in fact, even small paint chips on figures were un-touched, that is why I am 100% sure that this Opel truck never was repainted.

What I did was a small repair/repaint on one of the mudguards as it was damaged when I received the package, that is all.

Hope it helps ;)

Thank for your quick reply but it does like like a repaint to me as k&C did not make a grey version of the truck

It is clearly a repaint. The unit insignia on the front and rear were not painted over and are still showing the original dark yellow base

Well, I told everything I know about the item, it is not my goal to cheat anyone. I am not an expert in KnC stuff, but I feel that in case of being original it would be a real collectors item.
Probably Andy is the only person who knows the right answer...

I can answer this as Neil and Terry did, there was never a grey version made on the market, so it is a repaint. Feel free to send it to Andy, but if it was a factory produced item, it would not be "painted over" unless in the extremely rare instance where Andy made a conversion to show at a show on a diorama and in that case, I have never known Andy to sell those on the open market, they usually end up back in Hong Kong in his personal archives.

Hope that helps

For me the wheels not being painted grey is a giveaway

This is getting really interesting! Be a giveaway is an option, keep in mind it came from a huge collector.

Finally I found a proof, I knew I saw it somewhere!

The truck in the Das Boot brochure is clearly different to the item you have for sale, your truck is clearly a repaint, and I doubt it was done by King and Country.

Hello everybody,
It seems that most of you think it was a repainted one, so price was drastically reduced, thanks for your comments.

In another venue, Andy confirmed that this is not a K & C repaint.
