All my K&C items live upstairs in my office and don't venture down into living room, however at Christmas this set sits nicely on a bookcase, in fact I keep it with our other decorations and not upstairs. Its an excellent set and visitors often remark upon it, its seen as both sweet and yet poignant too. Happy Christmas my friends and fellow K&C Collectors:smile2:

Dear Rob:

Very nice vignette display of WW1 scene on or about 25 December 1914 relative to at least parts of the frontline in France.

"Iron Brigade"

Its a great little set. Perhaps one christmas we will get a couple of brit soldiers decorating the tree with hand grenades. I have some pictures of brit troops in winter gear doing this and it looked excellent

Thanks guys, sorry its a tad blurred one end, I love this set as it reminds me of the WW1 Christmas truce and how peace broke for a short while in that terrible War and also that we have guys serving abroard at this time of the year. Even my missus likes this set!^&grin^&cool

It's a great set Rob and I also have one. I also put the set in the lounge, on a bookcase and the missus dosn't mind! I also have the xmas jeep and last year's No Kristmas for the Kaiser..... There have been a lot of good books on the truce but I thoroughly recommend Stanley's Weintraub's 'Silent Night'. It's usually around this time of the year that I get the 2005 movie 'Joyeaux Noel' out (great WW1 Christmas Truce movie)....... Jameson

Hi Jameson, last years Kaiser set is a nice one too, I didn't pick that one up but it looks fun. I also have 'Joyeaux Noel ' and quite enjoy it. Might have to look that book up as it sounds good. Off back to the Somme and Ypre next year and can't wait^&cool Merry Christmas!:)
