And would so many companies have been doing WW2 Germans had King & Country not already plowed that particular field for them..? Doubtful too perhaps..?

Obviously, and that’s what competition is all about isn’t it? When Honour Bound came out with its Panthers, you were very quick to come out with one, and there was nothing wrong with that. Team has come out with some exciting figures that seems to have attracted the interests of collectors. You’ve decided that you’d like to get a bit of that market, just as other companies jumped in to grab some of your WW II market. Again, nothing wrong with that but somehow it seems to rattle you a little bit. Competition is good for all as each company strives to make their figures a little better. You need to relax a little.
 
No re-releases, half the fun is tracking what you miss, and for those who pay more tracking them down to find out later they are re released , well that would be very annoying

prefer new items, or at least new poses not re introduce ones from before , what's the point, I tracked down CW43 after such a long time and now I see they being re introduced,

Actually very little ‘rattles’ me... but occasionally one or two people annoy me...welcome to the club.
 
Sadly what stood out for me reading this latest dispatches thread is all the moaning about what wasn't released this month blah blah *****-fest.....

Brad's floored reasoning was the icing on the cake!

There also appears to be this growing level of 'selfishness' amongst certain members that disturbs me.

Quite frankly some of you sound like a bunch old Nanas.

Given the state of the world right now we should be thanking all TS companies for their efforts to navigate this current crisis and manage to produce anything.

I brought up the whole Federales, Banditos, Senoritas, Padres, Mariachis, Pistoleros, and Borrachos request years ago and I guess none of the makers are interested. So, I have picked up a few figures from Russia that are pretty cool, but limited. I am happy about the Aztec line from JJ, but behind the curve on purchasing those.

Anyways...

your positive comments are well appreciated. These are and have been difficult times for the whole world including K&C and yours truly...

Beginning in 2019 and for most of that year Hong Kong had the worst riots and civil disturbances since the 1960’s...And our Head Office and Store were right in the middle of it!

Then towards the end of the year, my brother Gordon went into Hospital and, as you know, never came out, passing away in February 2020.

Simultaneously, then the Covid Crisis hit... and we’re all still dealing with that big mess.

Throughout these storms and typhoons we still managed to steer our little craft to port without losing any of our crew overboard or cut their wages... and deliver our goods on time and in good condition, month after month after month.
Not too bad all things considered...However as I have learned over many years in this hobby and business...

You ain’t gonna please all of the people all of the time and...Memories are conveniently short when you consider the incredible amount and variety of toy soldiers, fighting vehicles, battlefield accessories and aircraft K&C have actually designed and produced on the most regular basis in this little hobby of ours...More perhaps than all of our major competitors combined I might venture.

No less than 18 x Brand-new British D.Day Infantry will be released over several months throughout the Summer to go with the Royal Navy LCVP and Sherman Vc’Firefly’.

Usually from sketch to dealer is around 9 months. First sign of this series was shown in December, so certainly the second half of this year, mores the pity. Robin.

Man this post has been a good read!

It's nice to see it's not just me that gets arsey! No offence intended to any fellow members!😉

The way i see it is:

We don't collect K&C figures and sets because they are marketed as rare and one off pieces - at least I don't - an Andy doesn't market his products as 'One off rare specials that will always retain their value and never be reproduced. To do that would be silly. We buy his sets as they represent an era of history and life which we share a passion and interest in. With this in mind I don't think he can really be criticized for repainting sets as there was never a clause which stated they wouldn't be. If one wants to continue to look for that set although it may be more expensive or if one wants to hold onto that set in the hope it will become rare and not be reproduced then that's their business. Andy makes no promises on either of these ideas as again he markets them as 'military miniatures' which is what he gives us - very finely detailed military miniatures.

God knows I've been a critic of Andy, but I've did some growing this past few months and as long as you keep producing and throw in some Market Garden and British Guards Armoured division sets every so often I am happy mate!😜

And some good news for you mate...We are hard at work on a very exciting ‘Sub Series’ to ‘The Real West’ which I think will please you and I hope many others.

Now it’s still a few months away but we’ve ‘master-painted’ 14 x pieces already and some are at the factory while a couple will be photographed and then sent off after the Easter break.

All the best and happy collecting!
